When I come home from an event, I sit down/collapse with a clipboard and "debrief". How can I display better, what sold well or got lots of attention, what didn't....
You can never tell from one Market to the other what will sell. Some things that I sell at the Monthly Market just didn't catch the eye this time. I think because of the restriction of space which is guided by price sometimes is the drawback.
Congratulations! You survived! I do not know if I have enough stamina to make it through a weekend. I am hoping to do Friday night art walk and am worried about the work involved.
These things are whet we should do when we are in our 20's not 70's. I am itching to get into something but still too tired and stiff.
Way to go:):) so happy you sold some of your lovely work .hugs Carolyn
Well done you. It is not surprising that you are stiff and tired............that's a long time to be running a market stall, not to mention the hours of work getting everything made before the event. Hope that it was successful for you. As others have said, time for a bit of a rest now.
Others from the Market were complaining that they were $2000 down. Boy if I took anywhere near $2000 I would be on cloud 9. Can't please everyone.
I find that some people tell fibs about their takings. I don't know why. I find it hard to believe from what I have seen that people would be taking in the thousands of dollars. Customers always want to pay next to nothing.
I'm glad you survived and hope the soreness goes away soon. Was it a financial success for you?
Markets are strange. One day I sold 13 Kitchen towels. Then the next day not a one. The day after I sold 8 Sock toys. Two were Pink Hippos. That night I came home and made another and after that I didn't sell another for the weekend ?????
Glad it's over for now Lyn & I hope you did well with this one. Looking forward to seeing piccies when you get a chance to upload them.
I do hope you sold lots of goodies Lyn and that you soreness is coming to an end. Take some Panadol and a cup of tea and relax! Love Chris
Going to see friends at Balhannah today that I haven't seen for such a long time as I have been too busy sewing.
