I am # 1 hoarder! and I am happy!!! MY DAUGHTER HAS THREATENED TO HAVE A DUMPSTER DELIVERED TO MY ADDRESS. I dare her!! I think she saw it on one of those TV shows. Kay
Tools get rusty, paint dries up and fluids go bad. But embroidery designs never spoil...LOL
Muffy :)
If you find joy in what you have, hoard all you want.
I have many wonderful designs collected over the years, and even though I doubt I'll use them all, and I still collect more, and every week (basically every day, if I'm truthful!) I take time to look at them and love them.
They are like fine paintings, except they do not take up the space a real painting does. And to me, these designs give me more joy than a painting would. And I do painting for a hobby, and love my water colour paintings. But they have no use, except to hang on a wall. Your embroidery designs can become wonderful projects.
I'm so scared of losing my designs, they are on my PC and backed up on 2 different external hard drives!
Enjoy your designs..
Best Regards
Anneliese
I see no need to come to the defense of your clearly very sensible husband. If he says that you are a 'hoarder' the you are a 'hoarder.' The question of what essential materials he has stored in his garage is immaterial to the matter and therefore cannot be used by way of positively influencing your desire to be right! No, he has stated that you are a 'hoarder' and that is good enough for me. Unfortunately, you have done yourself a disservice to your counter-argument claims by repeatedly commenting upon the misplacement by you of your scissors (not to mention thumb drives and the like). I also recall you commenting elsewhere that your work area needed a good sorting out (to which I suggested that in doing so, you were bound to discover said misplaced scissors). Your husband, like me, will know precisely where to go to put our hands on those essential tools and materials that we require from time to time and this is rarely to the hardware store simply because we have mispaced something. We could do this almost blindfold (saving for those instances where we are at risk of tripping over the products of our 'hoarding' wives, etc.). We are of course a logical breed, disciplined, methodical and sympathetic to the needs of our partners. We don't loose patience and take on the ferreting role of seeking out items misplaced by our dearly beloved, simply out of respect and the recognition that it would be embarrassing or even cruel to undermine those close and dear to us by rummaging through hoards of hoarded 'stuff' and locating misplaced scissors in five minutes which hours, days, weeks of searching have failed to locate.
Good on you hubby...............................I say, and there remains nothing further to be said on the matter!
hello Dennis I saw some fabric today with scissors printed on it ,would make you some nice sharp pajamas . No pun intended .
He should be lucky that your designs don't need so much space like all his stuff he surely has in his garage ;o)
Have fun and spend some money....
Greetings, Bettina
You are in great company here....hehe and boys with their toys should not complain. Can we say mustang???? hehe HUGS
These are not toys but electrical and/or mechanical masterpieces of engineering.
My sweetie has Airplane. He did have 3 at on time. Down to a Piper Comanche... Kay
I think hoarders collect things that they will never use.most of it junk with missing parts, stuff is worn out and unusable. I would say you are a collector of fine designs and fabrics that do have a purpose. He has his collection, you have yours. Everyone should be so happy
Bev
I have several friends who keep asking me what I'm going to do with the designs. My answer Collect 'em.
Well, I say that if he thinks you are a hoarder, let's not disappoint him...
I say he has given you the perfect reason and golden opportunity to go out and buy, buy, buy all of those designs that you have been trying not to buy...as not to be a hoarder...so hoard away, Toots...let us not disappoint him!!!
