Odenwald
wonderful - and huge for the German circumstances - so I also would give my sewing machine a rest, especially when expecting such a
lovely visitor. And Dresden and surrounding are so beautiful too.
Have been there 2 years ago with my family - but we live in small mountains Odenwald (close Darmstad and Heidelberg)
Lovely!! So nice to see the flowers after such a hard winter! You have done a great job with plantings- as it is light ,airy and wonderfully flowing to me!
love your Garden,it gives me always a peacefull Feeling to see such beautifull Place hugs URSULA
Your garden is lovely! I think I saw some candy tuf and some phlox. I failed to note where you live. My iris are in full bloom now. Kay
Kay,is #2 what we call Confederate Rose? I had 4 and I think they are dead.I also lost 2 Bottlebrush bushes. My knock-out roses are in full bloom, also my iris.I just about lost all my verbenia. All my pot plants died, with the exception of my Hen and Biddies. This has been a hard winter on them and me,I just don't know if I have the heart to start again,re-planting.....Are you in the tornado path, the national weather channel is forecasting? I hope not,it has been so destructive. My sister is in Ark. right now,but I checked on her.It went south of her, so she is fine.
Pic. 2 shows a chinese paeonia (Baumpfingstrose). This is as a small tree, means the plant goes not under the floor in winter but they has no problem with frost. I have this paeonia together with an yellow one 4 years , now she is 1Meter high.
For katydid: I live in the town Freiberg near the big town Dresden in Germany. Last year we had snow until easter and so I am happy to have a look of all the blooms this year.
Fabulous garden. Color knowledge carries over from the sewing machine to the garden or vice versa. Do you ever just sit and "drink" it in?
Your garden is really beautiful. It must take up a lot of your time. I love to see beautiful gardens, but I am sadly not a gardener.
Oh my - what a beautiful garden and so well looked after. Sarah
oh my green grass :):)The flowers are so beautiful ,i would love to be able to have flowers like these hugs
Your garden is absolutely beautiful and looks so peaceful.
This is a lovely area! I think I'd have to build a screened in porch with windows, just so I could make it my sewing room, this would help creativity immensely. You obviouly have a VERY green thumb...alas I have not one but two that don't work, this way. :P Enjoy Leaha
What a beautiful garden....a wonderful place to go and just be.
jrob-when I get to heaven, I want to stay in the garden of eden and swing my babies. The ones that go for the bling can have the streets of gold.-lol-I can't imagine anything more beautiful than this, but I know it will be!
I just was in my garden, no flowers yet . But a joy to see these. Thanks for sharing
It is a lot of work but so rewarding.Your flowers are beautiful! I am afraid mine succumbed to our harsh winter.I lost a lot, even some bushes.
I am so sad to hear this, last year I lost some trees, they breaked down under the snow. I wish Icould give you from my plants.
