Ein sehr schönes Kindermotiv. Da freuen sich die Kleinen drüber.
A very pretty design and lovely colours.
Digitising appliqué is fun in Embird and so easy. Don't you love the "Split appliqué into layers" tool. Quite often I do both a filled design as well as an appliqué - hardly any extra work and two different takes on my drawing or the clipart.
I, too, use the outlines as patterns for the pieces, however, I usually stitch and clip before the final satin anyway. For ITH patchwork I love the pattern pieces.
Thank you.
I will have to investigate that tool; at the moment I do everything as if I am creating a normal non-applique design. Thanks for the tip!
(I made a spelling error in my previous comment, and could not edit it without some words stringing together, so I just started over by deleting it.)
The words sometimes string together until you refresh the page. Then they return to normal spacing.
Yea! Well done and it was fun to do too, wasn't it.
Well... I struggle a bit to see, so I cheated.
I am stitching the outlines of my applique pieces on a piece of tearaway, then I cut the tearaway into pattern pieces, then I cut my applique pieces using the tearaway pattern pieces, and only then do I start the actual stitching.
As each applique piece's outlines are stitched, I glue the correct sized pre-cut piece in place, and continue from there. I actually design my applique ITH, with the pattern of the pieces as part 1 of the design. You can use it or leave it, as you wish.
A nice work-around for me. (and I don't have to worry about cutting close to a stitched line!)
You are getting better at every design you attempt. Well done, love Chris
That is so cute, excellent for your first try wish I could do that,
do you sell any of your designs
