Hi, I added a coaster with pink and purple, especially for the ladies who love purple! Thanks for looking.
ok i was given this secret now i will pass it unto you.In Canada you can buy something called fabric markers .Like the kids use to color with only there for our fabric .Well after your design is made sit and color those white edges .trust me it works :):)hugs Carolyn
oh i forgot to say i love your design and that you do awesome work even with your disability.carolyn
Thank you. We get markers here, too. Never thought of that. I will definitely use it in future!
A nice design.
Why don't you trim your fabric top and bottom before stitching the final satin stitch, just don't cut the stabiliser. It gives far cleaner edges that way.
Thank you.
I can not bring the fabric in the hoop close enough to my eyes to see where to cut, and leave enough space to work the scissors - I have an eyesight problem. (I can no longer do hand embroidery, I am scared I might literally stuck the needle into my eye.)
I am sorry to hear that. In that case the precut parts are indeed the best solution. I am always afraid I'll miss a little bit.
Well done. Try angling your scissors just a bit toward the design. See if it helps getting a little closer.
Dear Anneliese,
You're doing really well. Keep at it and with practice you'll get better and closer at trimming the edges. Love Chris
Sorry about the untidy edges, I still have problems cutting close to satin stitches. It is an ITH coaster.
