Haven't heard from you but I hope the pain is more bearable.Toogie
I have been there but was more lucky as had one break..
I know how hard this is but the weeks will soon go by. I slept a lot in a comfy chair. Try to read instead of sewing.
Once the plaster comes off go to physio, it helps a lot to get going as it feels very week at first but you will improve real fast and be able to use it again as before.
will be thinking of you
Hugs Edith
My prayers are with you. What a traumatic experience for you all!
Will send prayers your way, hope everything comes out better than you think. :)
oooh that is just awful, I will say an extra prayer for you & pray that the surgery goes perfectly & your recovery just as well! ~hugs~
Hope you can stand the pain until Wed and then that a cast or brace will be all that is needed. Those falls happen so fast you are down before your realize what happened. Please be careful & do't do any further damage.
Thanks to everyone of you. I'm not taking any chances with this wrist, so I am letting others do it all, not that I could do much right now anyway. It is still quite painful, as well as my shoulder & elbow.
Toogie asked how I fell....well, here's my story. I had gone to my sister's for a week visit. My niece had an allergic reaction to her medication & her tongue & throat were swelling. She called my sister to come & take her to the emergency room. She has twin 3-year-old boys, so I stayed to babysit them. They got on the loveseat & were looking out the window, but grabbed the mini blind string & pulled it completely down. I stepped onto the loveseat to fix the mini blind & the boys were playing with toys in the floor. Just as I stepped off the loveseat backwards one of them rolled right under my foot. I jerked myself sideways to keep from stepping on the child & stepped on his toy. The toy rolled under my foot & twirled me around. I landed on my side with my hand underneath me. It bent my hand backwards.
Nasty accident, and I assume you had to wait for your sister to come back before you could be taken to the emergency room! Horrible and painful.
no step on a sofa to do any thing not safe if you do hold on to the back and sit down before you step down.
So very sorry to hear this...got my fingers crossed that you do not need surgery...wishing you a speedy recovery...
