Fabulous! Well worth the effort. I'd frame this one if only to memorialize what 42 color changes can create!
You inspired me to buy that design :) It looks great and I love our blue wrens, even though both genders aren't blue.
Just beautiful, these wrens are lovely our males here in Australia do not have a lot of blue. We have them in our backgarden, from time to time,It is wonderful to watch their antics through the windows. Congratulations you have done a great job, hope that they are appreciated. Sandra
The Wren Song
Line
Melody -
Line
The wren, the wren, the king of all birds,
St. Stephen's Day was caught in the furze,
Although he was little his honour was great,
Jump up me lads and give him a treat.
Chorus:
Up with the kettle and down with the pan,
And give us a penny to bury the wren.
2. As I was going to Killenaule,
I met a wren upon the wall.
I took me stick and knocked him down,
And brought him in to Carrick Town.
Chorus:
3. Droolin, Droolin, where’s your nest?
Tis in the bush that I love best
In the tree the holly tree,
Where all the boys do follow me.
Chorus:
4. We followed the wren three miles or more,
Three mile or more three miles or more.
We followed the wren three miles or more,
At six o’clock in the morning.
Chorus:
5. I have a little box under me arm,
Under me arm under me arm.
I have a little box under me arm,
A penny or tuppence would do it no harm.
Chorus:
They are beautiful birds, we only have brownish wrens. "The wren the wren the king of all birds" so the wren boys sing. G
it is so very pretty
and to ans. your question on will you ever use all the design no but if you are like me i have a daughter that like to sew she will use then in her home when i'm gone and they can be used by my grandaughter so keep them in a safe place and someone will use them in there home keep up the good work
This is Fantastic!!! Great work, and design is good also!!! Hugs, Judy
All that time and materials in a project should be framed so it can be enjoyed by all every day.
You have done a beautiful job.
I have done quite a few pictures from EMBLIB. They make lovely gifts.
A beautiful collage of fairy-wrens, I didn't think they were this bright but they are very striking to look at...well done were they directly on a towel or on a material top..
Wow 42 color changes, I'm not sure I even have that many colors...I'm serious! The design is beautiful, I've done a couple of theirs and I think they turn out lovely. The are a bit dense but I had no trouble with them. Leaha
I doubt if I will be advertising this one so I don't have to stitch it too often
Wow 42 is a lot of color changes. How many stitches. I really have a hard time doing fsl with a certain average stitches per color. Exceptions include If they have eyes. It is beautiful and worth the time, and I understand maybe not doing that one again.
I didn't check how many stitches or the stitching time. A lot of the time I took would also be from looking for and changing the colours. but I must check again.
such a beautiful design. I am thinking, the Embroidery library designs probably work very well on towels, because they are SO dense. So pretty tho. ***Flowers to all***
Beautiful. (Our wrens here are brown, cute but rather boring!)
The birds are lovely, don't their eyes show up well I always find designs too dense so make a point of reducing all of them 10% and some 20%
When I have one that is too dense, I increase the size of the design but not the stitch count. Isn't it nice that we all have our methods that work for us?
WOW! it's gorgeous Lyn. Aren't the Emb Library designs dense? I do hope you are getting paid for this! Love Chris
I doubt I will get paid for the time that it took me but then I have others that don't take very long so guess it all works out in the end. I agree about the designs being too dense and I am sure some of the steps could be missed out. Too bad about the crows today.
