I never knew all embroiderers were like me! I fit that description very well! LOL I'll bet over half of those people have a cat that likes to sleep around their embroidery machine too! I noticed the same thing last spring when I went to a Floriani all day seminar. Most of the women there looked about the same age and shape that I was! It was stabilizer everyone was oooohhhing and ahhhhing over. Oh well, at least we all have something in common other than owning an embroidery machine!

I get tickled to notice this at my store where I shop, too. There is a huge gap between the grandmothers and the rich, young mothers with baby girls on their hips (okay, a few baby boys). I guess you have to have time, patience and money to buy the machine and supplies plus someone cute for whom to embroider. The other big shock (for me) is when I sit in a class and someone has a machine more than six months and has only stitched out a design fewer than 10 items. How can they NOT be in love with their machine and NOT be fascinated by watching it stitch out beautiful things?. (And why did they spend all that money?)
She must have had her hubby trained well. I could never get mine to do that. lol! Fun for the girls that is for certain!
When mine comes to the store with me he buys the strangest things. (only strange in that I would not have thought to buy them) Then I use them to sew or mend his stuff. He bought me twin needles the last time and leather needles the time before but then I had to sew patches on his leather vest.
I sent my DH with a list of threads and their numbers and two clerks took pity on him and helped him. He loved the attention, and was sure he couldn't have found the colors without them. They better keep their hands off, he's mine and he spoils me rotten! LOL!
Wouldn't it have been great if we could have all gone together?
That would be the best ever! Can you imagine how loud the chatter would be?
If only the transporters from Star Trek were real! We'd be able to go anywhere at anytime and we could all meet up face to face for once!( Other than Cute that is!). I'd love to have the opportunity to meet my embroidery sisters!

hear hear! what a great fun day to be had by all, but I have to wonder...................would one day ever be enough?
