Always can use ideas for men. These came out very well. What is the difference from regular vinyl, how can you tell, other than I guess it states it on the bolt?
The design sites stated that the designs were appropriate for marine vinyl and said one could get it at Joann's. The marine vinyl is expensive(I haven't tried any other vinyl) - but, with store coupons and the fact that the vinyl is like 60 inches wides - I only got 1/4 yard in a couple of colors. The coupons helped a lot!!! And, I also got my designs on sale over time. I have a few more different ITH designs to try out with the vinyl. It is fun and like you, I can always use ideas for men!!! Hope this makes sense!! Hugs, Laura*
Look great !! I think my granddaughters would like these. Kay
Kay, I sure they would like these. The design comes with a different font - a very nice one. It also includes blank corners. Thanks!! Laura*
Terrific guy design. I love it.
Thank you, Mary!!! I have 4 brothers, a wonderful DH, 3 sons and a super son-in-law. Us girls (my daughter, granddaughter and I) are very outnumbered!!! I have been hunting for some "Guy" designs!! Thanks again! Laura*
Hi, very, very nice. What size needles do you use to stitch on vinyl? How often do you have to replace your needles? I would think vinyl would be very rough on your needles... Thanks in advance for your answer.
90/14 needles works great. The only vinyl I have stitched on is Marine Vinyl (purchased at Joann's). I am not sure how other vinyls would do. I do know though, not to use small designs on it as it tends to "eat" the vinyl. I just change needles as I usually do. Good luck!!
I have never stitched on marine vinyl. Thanks for the tip. these look great!!!
Both Embroidery Garden and Five Star Fonts have some nice designs that work well with marine vinyl.
Nicely done! You do lovely work with vinyl.
You are kind!! I have just tried to find a few designs that would work well with marine vinyl and hopefully might work for the "men" in our lives!! Hugs, Laura*
