I love your Bambi! Sounds like you are about to be a REALLY happy camper!
My Vintage Elan Lotus arrived this morning and within ten minutes i had it apart and started to clean and oil it. It was sold as spares or repair as it was not running smoothly and kept sticking. WELL GUESS WHAT. it no longer sticks and is running very smoothly indeed.
This had been a very busy morning as i also made seven steamed loaves and a dozen choux pastry buns that i will fill with fresh cream and sour cherry conserve and drizzle with choccy and dust with icing sugar. These will be shared between my self my daughter and my son in love this evening. hopefully with a glass of wine.
Thank you Caroline for showing me how to make them, they have turned out perfect and as you rightly say. they will not keep
By the way - I love the typo. I pictured you underneath a vintage sports car with and oily rag and a spanner!
Now that would have been me about forty years ago and loving every dirty minute but this is as near as will ever get to owning an lotus elan.
Glad to hear your little machine has arrived and you have got it running smoothly. Hope you enjoyed the steamed loaves choux pastry buns with your family after your days work. Regards Shirley
Well done Annie, I hope you have a wonderful trip and enjoy your new sewing machine. Love Chris

Hope this is of some use Annie for that lovely machine that you have bought. Happy sewing
many thanks I have just sent for two lots so they should keep me going for a little while
Excellent! You will have many happy times with your new machine!
Well done you, I hope you have great fun with it. I can't imagine being able to take a sewing machine away in our motorhome and it is much bigger than yours!
It will stow away under the seat with no problem Sue, i will put all the bits i will need into a plastic box. There is little weight in it and i don't carry many cloths as i only go away for a max of two weeks.
Well done getting the Elna. Brilliant idea putting a tent up to keep your spot. Do you put it up yourself, we used to struggle putting up a tent in our camping days. I used to be a cub leader but always organised some dads to put up the tents when we went camping!!!
yep i can manage to erect the tent on my own as it is an old canvas one with spring loaded poles. I just put the frame up half way and then put the canvas on top and pull it into place then erect the legs to full hight.. No problem all thats left is to peg it down

Congratulations that is wonderful & I'm sure that you will have happy memories with your new win. ~hugs~
Congratulations. This looks like so much fun. My problem would be that I forget something vital like scissors at home. :)
Lucky you. It's nice to have a small machine you can take with you.
The tent as place keeper is a great idea. That's the downside of having a motor home instead of a caravan - you have to take it with you when going shopping or sightseeing or whatever and before you know it your place has been taken. Don't ask me how I know.
mops just do as i do and get a small toilet tent and make sure your vehicle reg number is marked on it. that way you should be able to come back to your pitch. I have the best of both worlds when i go to my special place because at night time or in bad weather i hide away amongst the trees but if its good weather and sunny then i go onto the car park above the beach for the day.
We no longer have one. We had a Ford Transit 90 when we lived in England. Hubby never got used to driving it, sitting on the right side of the car which to him was the wrong side. We solid it when we returned to the continent. But I am dreaming of a new one, so nice for our frequent trips to our daughter in Norway and traveling to see more of that country
