Hi, I know what you go through, I was there last year (September to November). My prayers are with you, I know it is an extremely difficult time for you all.
My mil (in her 80's) got blackouts and fainting spells through the day and it was getting worse. She fell during one of these blackouts and broke her collar bone, so she needed help and supervision 24 hours a day. My father in law was ill himself, just out of hospital, and could not cope alone during the day while she had a broken collar bone.
I went to stay with them for 3 months to help them during the day. My sister in law stayed with them permanently, so she could help in the evenings. I had to catch her when she fell during the blackouts, and get her to bed until the blackout passed. (and I have a very bad back and a neck fusion, so I understand about the sore body, too!)
We prayed a lot, and the blackouts and fainting spells got so much better, they no longer happened multiple times during the day, but only occurred about once a week.
Her collar bone finally knitted togeher, and I could go home. Three days after I went home, she had a massive and fatal stroke. She never woke up.
So I know exactly what you feel like, and how traumatic the experience is. God will give you strength to get through this.
God Bless.
Anneliese
Just wanted to share that what you do has brought a WARM feeling to my heart!!! She is lucky to have you there ! :D
May God be with both of you, especially now when you need him most.
Bless your heart. You are a gift in her life, as she has told you. Hang in there, your perseverance is appreciated.
Sonja what a valiant soldier you are to continue through your pain and illness to ease your mother in law into the next stage. I know you are missing your embroidery and your reborns. Gentle hugs and prayers for you and mother in law and your entire family.
Sonja it is not easy to take care of someone as ill as your MIL. I am sure she appreciates your help immensely. I will pray for you to have enough strength to stay at her side and not hurt much.
Hugs for you
Angie
Dear Sonja, I hope your last days together are full of fond memories. You are a real angel for looking after your MIL so well. Keep up your strength too as I know you also need looking after. Love and blessings Chris
I'm praying for you, too. What a blessing you are for her and I promise, some day you will recognize and remember the blessings that have been in this for you.
Sonja, ik weet wat je door moet, maar probeer zoveel mogelijk het beste ervan te maken; en praat over de dingen waar je nog wil over praten. Wees samen en gelukkig. Ik wens je veel sterkte toe. Knuffel, Linda
May God give you the strength and comfort you need to get through this sad and difficult time.
