I'm a little bit new to this site. How does the voting work and if you buy a membership do you get any design?

Lots of great responses here so I'll just give you a warm welcome and a flower.

Babs,You can vote on whatever you choose, however,the way we have found it to be most effective is to post the request that you want (directed to Letvia) and she keeps up with the order that they were requested and posts the link so that everyone who participates here in the community votes together and that gives the best chance of getting your desired design. There are alot of folks who don't participate in the community area, so if there is a new design in say, Redwork (like the purse today), there probably aren't enough of us to override the larger votes, but we could get in a request the next day. Letvia is very diligent about keeping up with what is wanted and what order it was requested. We also pool together and vote on the sister site: amazingembroiderydesigns.com, so be sure and look there, too.

Babs, I know that sounds confusing about voting. If you buy a membership you get the whole kit and kaboodle! We vote on free designs to help our friends here that can't afford to buy a membership at this time. There are some designs that you can not vote on at all. They are only available through purchasing a membership. It's really a good deal. We just had a 52 letter alphabet (upper and lower case) which if purchased seperately would have almost paid for 2 memberships! Welcome and hope to hear lots from you.;)

Ok, I've seen that there are more than 1 design in each category to vote on. Should I vote for each one?

Welcome babs, to answer you comment you don't have to vote if you buy a membership, but you can still vote just to help others out who don't have the membership. With the membership you can download the new ones as soon as they come out, for not all designs are available for voting. And like the alphabet you can download all the past ones which will probably not be voted on again for they want to move on to vote on the new ones. It's really a good deal if you are able to go for it.

To vote for a design you just have to go to the page and vote for any of them. We have a list for request (at my profile is my email if you want me to help you or you can post your request on here) and everyday (I have been out for a while but now hopefully I am back to help everybody) I ask for help to vote for a specific design. In the same request I make a request to vote for Cute at the Embroiderytop site. You can do it by yourself going to the free design and by click where says "Vote for Cute". You don't need to vote for a design, but you may decide to do so to help others. To vote for the site helps Veronica, because people assume the top ten or so are worth looking at and might by single designs or a membership. And after all she doe have to earn a living. And welcome to the site.

We vote to help people who don't have a membership to get wanted or missed letters in a font. I was reluctant at first to join and after several attempts of buying at least $5 at a time to get missed letters of these beautiful fonts I finally came around and joined. Wait until you are ready, don't feel pressured. We treat everyone equal. In fact we don't who is a paid member. The thing we really have in common is to try to help each other. We are all learning. Some of us have experience in one area and others in another area. We all pool our thoughts and ideas to help each other. We welcome you.
