I thought it was time I practiced what I was preaching so I used some of the Autumn Leaves designs from this site to make a holder for plastic bags. I used the design in the link twice with one mirrored and put just the leaves from another one of the set underneath to connect them.

The top has a drawstring and the bottom is elasticated.
This is not my gift for the Cute Birthday gift exchange!

Even though most of us no longer use these bags for their original intent, they still make great storage for many different household items. Lovely embroidery.

I love that design and stitching it twice makes it even more impressive.
It makes this useful bag pop!

Very pretty preacher! I like it. That's a gorgeous design. I've been perusing my stash of designs for the Cute Birthday exchange and think I have finally settled on one, or two, maybe three. ;)
My daughter bought me one for Christmas, but the only time I use them is for disposing of dirty diapers. I hope those days are waning quickly. I'm about over the dirty diaper detail. In the last 7 years I have had a 6 month break.

I don't think you'd choose to have it any other way!

Lovely Sue. We have to buy any poly bags we use when shopping and the vast pile we had is long gone. I stock up when shopping in England which isn't often. The second use of a poly bag is many and I never thought I would miss them but I am not going to keep buying each time I shop. Great use of a design from here

That will happen here in England soon. We always take reusable bags shopping, but we do still get a few plastic bags.
