This bag is really stunning. I can't believe you did these without a pattern. Very talented and lovely job. :) Leaha
Are you saying you think I am lying?...Just joking,-lol-I know what you mean.We have a mutual friend(the woman I work with and me) that sewed. She never folded her patterns neat and put them back in the pattern envelope. They always looked so wadded up.Well if she lost a piece, say a facing for the neck or armhole, she didn't know how to make another facing pattern.Try as we did she would rather throw the whole pattern and buy another, than try to figure it out. Thanks for looking and to prove I make them,-lol-click on hipster.I think it will show the first one was blues, and it has more photos of constuction,if I remember right. Again,I was just teasing you. Thanks for looking.
That's okay, teasing is fun! I didn't take it any other way. As I've said many times before on this site...I am in total AWE of the talented ladies and gentleman on here! I am so glad I found this wonderful place called 'CUTE"
These are just so lovely! I don't know which one I like the best.
Did you make your own pattern for these , or did you find it somewhere?
Super work. ***
Hugs, Nadyne
I made my own but I am still 'tweaking'it,as they say.I am thinking about one of her other styles,to try out.I'll have to go back and look, although for me,this style suits my needs. My daughter said she loves hers too.
Another beautiful bag, fabulous fabric, well done. Jo
Très beau ce sac. Je suis fan de sacs et je regarde les vidéos you tube de Ana Cosentino patchwork et je me régale. Il y a de nombreux modèles. Amitiés. Françoise
Thank you very much,Francoise,I like bags too. This is not patchwork, the fabric is printed or woven, like this.-Toogie
Your choice of colors is stunning! They really make the bag stand out. One of my sisters wants me to make a bag like this for her, so I guess I'd better hunt through my stash and see what I can find for her. Congrats for such a stunning project. Vida
Thanks Vida,I too am looking for a certain color and am having no luck.I guess I just don't buy much of that one,so.....I get to go to the fabric shop again!-lol
The fabric makes your bag even more stunning than the ones you did earlier! Gorgeous! What do you use to give them body?
I appreciate that you like it Mops.I think quilting the main body & front pocket, gives it body and the fact that isn't not too large, in size.I also put cut-a-way in my inside pocket and large back pocket, and because this one was softer than the others,I used cut-a-way in my 2 main body, lining pieces.I use the cut-a-way here, like you would sew in interfacing.Mine is holding the shape well and I have been using it since I made it.Thanks for commenting-Toogie
This is stunning! may I ask what type of fabric it is? Home dec, quilter's cotton, etc? Absolutely love it and fabulous job you did :)
I am not sure of this fabric content, but I do usually try to get something, with a cotton in it.It was purchased at Walmart, recently.I am glad you like it so much and if you are new,Welcome to Cute.I am glad to see you taking part in commenting.Check out Community,if you haven't already.Very informative group. Thanks for lQQking!-Toogie
love the colors and pattern. You matched up the diamonds for semetry so well. I applaud you on this one. Suzanne
Thank you,I am bowing,to your applause-lol-as I said before I was uncertain of the design of the fabric, but I am glad it worked up so well.
I love it! They are so nice, it was such a surprise to see this this morning, I know you said you had cut one out but no way already almost finished. Thanks for sharing your purses, they always put me in awe of your work!
Aw......it's so nice to wake up, to all you sweet Cuties! I cut it out 1 day and start ironing, quilting, sewing. Then I finish the next time if things go well.I have been having Mason to pick up from baseball practice and just life in general,so some days I don't get any sewing done.I'm sure everyone can relate to that.
Toogie I love this fabric and yet another super bag.
I was a little hesitant to buy it, but I am happy with the outcome.Thank you for your kindness-Toogie
I like this one, too! The fabric reminds me of square-in-a-square quilt block. It's very bright and beautiful.
It was easy to quilt.I didn't have to mark my grid, just followed the squares.Takes me 2 days to make one, from cut-out to finish,in between my bus route, keeping the grands,etc.-lol
You really are doing a good job with these bags. They are so pretty
Your bags are gorgeous. I have a couple to make, but keep putting it off. Kids and GK's requests come first. Maybe this winter I will get mine done, and hope they turn out as good as yours have.
Hugs Jerri
I am sure they will be perfect,Jerri.I know what you mean about making things for yourself.I have been wanting to make ME another bird one like my second bag I made. It's not happening,so a good thing my "test" one was for me,or I wouldn't have one!-lol-I have made 5 so far.
love it for sure:):) i need a purple one ,with lots of pockets .willing to pay :):)lol hugs
It does have lots of pockets. There is 1 slip pocket on the front as well as the 1 zippered pocket. There is also a deep back zippered pocket.that makes 3,so far.On the inside, the slip pocket is divided.I usually do 3 divisions, with the center one being smalller, for my readers (glasses). However my daughter wanted hers divided in two.She had a huge phone and she wanted it on the inside.I have an IPhone 4s and I put mine in the slip front pocket, along with my keys.
I love this one! Great fabric choice, I love the colour orange :)
I started to put the zippers different colors.I had the right green and orange, but I didn't have a 3rd color to match,so I used orange for all 3 zips. Thanks for looking-T
I love it and the color is great.
It is a lot of color!-lol Thanks for looking.I should make her a hat like yours,to match. She has long hair, like you.
