Yes they are all energy efficient we wouldn't have it any other way. These cupboards are the old ones still waiting for the new ones to come. ~hugs~

I think we are both living with the one day at a time syndrome. I know your kitchen will be gorgeous when it is done. You are ahead of me on appliances. I managed to order a new dishwasher and we have counters ready to install. Now to find a sink and faucet.

Yep, you needed a new kitchen! Its funny, when I saw the pics, I thought to myself that at least you have a nice stove. and the after pics show that's about all you have left in your kitchen. lol. Its hard work, but oh, so worth it when its done. Can't wait to see done!!! Sending you some nice, bright and cheerful Flowers!! :)

Thank you we are getting all new appliances because we could not get the over the range microwave in white & we have needed a new dishwasher for all while now so it was either get 2 stainless & have 2 white or get all new so we get all new. But I love my stove it is the best we have ever bought!

Lots of work, & a test of your patience. But when all is said & done, you'll be so happy with your new kitchen that you won't remember how it felt to live through the renovation.

I had to wait 18 yrs to get a functional kitchen. It took a couple weeks longer than originally planned to get it all done, but the end result is wonderful. It made such a difference in the ease & speed of meal preperation. I spend a lot of time in there and I'm really happy we did it. You'll be glad you did it too, just hang in there sweetie!

such encouraging words, thank you. I can't imagine living like this for 18 years! The space by the stove is such a small prep area that I am really looking forward to the bigger space that is coming & like you it will make meal prep so much easier. ~hugs

It is a big job but everything we need now has been purchased except the over the range microwave now we need the cupboards before we can do any more. Hubby will install all the new lights today I think so that will bring us one step closer. Instead of the bare bulb lol

I definitely prefer the "before" to the "after"!

laffma1 by laffma1 edited 22 May 2014

Bet it's going to be great when it's all done!

Sue you like the pictures of the old kitchen? You don't like my choice of paint colour? I don't understand?

rescuer by rescuer 22 May 2014

I think Sue just means that she does not like the empty renovating look...the one that means you have no place to cook. I have been there and done dishes in a bathtub...not the funnest time of life for sure!
Flowers and hugs as always -- even if I don't comment -- I do read and flower posts.
I will continue to pray that it all will be a fun adventure (camping in the backyard might work) and that the stress will be minimal as I know that causes issues for your health.

Exactly what I meant!

pldc by pldc 22 May 2014

Oh OK I am having a very slow brain day? Very slow for some reason. I am glad that you straightened this out for me I was confused! LOL thank you Sue! ~hugs~
