thank u now i can blame somebody else for the next kilo on my bumble bee backside lol
Oh not me...these haven't any calories as I forbid them to come in my recipes. :PPP Thanks for the chuckle. :)
Thanks! Better with frosting or not?
I never use frosting so I can't tell say. They always came out of the oven and disappeared to fast for that. So I guess the best answer is to try them both ways. These are not at all like bakery brownies.
Yummy! Thank you Leaha
brownies are hard to beat. Thanks for sharing the recipe! sharon
Leaha thanks so much for this. I now have to decode some of the recipe as I presume cake flour is what we call self raising and I need to check on what a cup is for me. Now for some fun over the weekend and a happy husband as he will enjoy eating it
Cake flour is not self rising I don't believe. It is for a finer crumb, not as coarse. We have self rising as well, it isn't the same.
No there is a difference. Self raising does not need baking powder and cake flour needs baking powder as there is no raising ingredient in it. Hope you get it sorted out. Enjoy your baking. Hugs
Cake flour is NOT self rising as already stated. I just make my own by using a sifter and sifting the the amount needed 9-12 time before I add anything to it. It comes out lighter and fluffier and finer than just plain flour.
If this helps; you can use a mug you drink coffee, tea or hot chocolate out of as long as it isn't over 10 ounces. Just use it throughout the recipe...don't change to another.
I forget our measuring system is different from most of the worlds.
Hope they turn out great and that he is a very happy camper.
Thanks for sharing! Sounds yummy--I think I'll try them for this holiday weekend!
