One of my girl friends had an overstuffed occasional chair in her den with all different fabric. Stripes ,floral prints big and small and even a plaid. I don't think it was patch work, but each arm and seat and front and back all different fabrics. The next time I was at her house, I noticed it was gone and I inquired where was it as I knew she paid a hefty price for it. She informed me that it was in the basement because her husband could not handle piece. So be careful if men are to sit on this piece!!!! Kay
Oh Yeah! and the rug too, and all the pillows! Do you think we could cover our old reclining couches like this????
I gotta have this. I will keep this picture for ideas for years to come. Thanks!!!
Gosh it looks like a lot of work went into recovering it and making all those cushions. My grandkids would love it in their toy room. hugs
That would be fun to do. And I'd love to have one. Thanks for sharing.
Hobby Lobby was selling some pieces, not sure if exactly like this but they were these bright patchwork pieces of furniture.
They are such happy pieces and for us sewers they are very welcoming I think.

It is gorgeous, but my hubby wouldn't like it. Our couches always end up the colour of the floor - YUCK! I would love to sew it too.
I love it too. The rug below it is a must too. Very brave soul who puts it all together.
I looked these patchwork couches up a few weeks ago to see if anyone else had done what I'm planning. I suspect my friends will hate my couch but I don't care lol my children will love it. On the up side, you can easily patch a hole with a patch and it wouldn't look out of place ;)
Well,if anything was spilt on it,it sure wouldn't show a stain.-lol-It reminds me of the colorful set, in the movie, Nanny McPhee.
i'M THINKING IN THE KIDS SECTION FOR PARENTS TO SIT WHILE THEIR CHILDREN HAVE THEIR TEA pARTY
sorry, not for me. A bit too 'busy'. I prefer splashes of colour.
I think that much color and that much pattern would drive me bonkers. It would have to be 3, maybe 4, pretty pastels for quilting by Moda for me! I've seen the patchwork sofa done in all shades of old blue denim jeans and that was wonderful and wore well, just like heavy duty jeans!
I would love it, and my couch is the perfect style for this.LOL
Not so much...but it would be a conversation piece in 'Camylow's Tea Party' This would not be restful to sleep on, I have quilts, like this. :) Leaha
Here's another patchwork VW bug. Love the couch, pillows and rag rug. So who's going to be brave enough and do it and share with us.
I Do, I Do, I Do!!!! That is a sewing persons' dream furniture :))
My Goodness ! This reminds me of my Hippie Days" No money, small apt. Sewed hundereds of different sqaure, rectangles together and covered a couch someone had left on the street.I wish I had a picture of it.VERY similar to this. Super easy to do girls, especially with little money.
Here's a picture of a patchwork quilt VW bus.
Yep, I want the whole set. Hobby Lobby carries the patchwork furniture but it is costly. It would be fun to put in the sewing room. Hubby says he doubts if I could fit another needle in my sewing room. Won't he be surprised because I have more coupons to use for more products.
Go for it! I know someone who re-covered her couch with squares made fror the jeans of each and every one of her 90 foster children.
It certainly is colorful!!! So much for neutral. lol! have you seen the patchwork Volkswagen pictures? I am adding a link of one, but there are several out there.
Yes, there was one in a tv programme a few weeks ago and I drooled. Jo
I'm sure if you got an old couch you could cover it all over in patchwork fabrics Deanna. This would look wonderful in an area in your Tea Shop.
A name for your shop - Deanna's Dainties
Yes, and I would like a basement or cellar room with a lockable door to put it in, just for me to chill on
