well the cupboard guy is here again today? & he has said that he was not told to change the things that the salesman said he would change last week! So we told him that it was not acceptable & he said well the boss is out of town so he would call him................he then came back in & said the boss said to go ahead & do the doors & drawers & he did fix that spot by the window that was off by an inch so now they do match, & he did fix that white part of the cupboard that now has a pc to match the cupboards over it but he is not fixing the spot where it is over the bulkhead! I was very nice but very firm & I have to say I could feel Chris's encouragement in my head & I told him well you will have to come back because that is not acceptable & we're we to call his boss or did he say that he was coming by? He left & went to call the boss again.............

Good for you, You stand your ground. He shouldn't have to be told to fix things that aren't right by the boss, If something isn't right they should fix it,. Period. You are paying them with an expectation of a job well done. If they can't fix what's wrong then. maybe they can give you a discount of the price you're paying at the very least..

Have done kitchen planning for years and must say: It is a very tricky thing.
Like that little spot with the trim and the window frame. On the plan it looks okay but if you have long time experience you know that you have to keep such small details in the back of your head.
It's also a matter of the taste: Some customer don't like the trim stand over the frame, some others don't like the gap that is now between the cupboard and the frame.
There are a lot of such hidden traps in a single kitchen you plan and this includes the install facilities. But it is a poor customer service if you are not willing to try to fulfill your customer's dream of a perfect kitchen. They have to live with it for many years in most of the cases and see it everyday for some hours ;o)
Hope you get everything done in the way you like it...
Greetings, Bettina

It looks so much better now that they fixed some things. Why would they put the cabinet over the window trim? It's amazing what some will do & think it is ok....there would have been quite a gap underneath that cupboard too I imagine. Thankfully it is getting there. One day you will be able to sit back & enjoy it....well have to cook in it!

You stand your ground. Kitchens cost a lot of money. It is your right to complain when things are wrong. Hugs Sarah.

I went to a class & when I came back he already had the new cupboard back up & all the trim has been corrected too. You can see in the picture where he has overlapped the window frame? Now you can see where he took it all away & finally where he put the new one back in! The corner trim has ALL been corrected as well before & after pics 4 & 5. We will have to do a few paint touch ups but it looks now the way it should look! It looks so much better now! I am very happy & thankful for the encouragement! Hugs & ** everyone!

Oh dear, high price, bad service and a lot of excitement.
That's what customers often have to suffer now all over the world and you have to fight for your good right. Poor new world.....
I am so sorry you do have to make this experience but it makes you
strong. Keep on fighting

He has come back in & asked me what I want & where to make the new changes. So I told him exactly the same thing that hubby told the guy that came last week! He said OK he has been told to make the changes........small yeh......... but that will be awhile longer & they do not have any of the handles that we have ordered way back in April (or was it March) so they are all on back order sigh............maybe they will come in when the new set has been corrected? A new fellow came by to collect the cupboard that has to be replaced so maybe they are going to get right on it & not put us on the back burner so to speak? Oh the journey continues............but at least we are all on the same page now. Oh & one more thing in case I forgot to mention they made a drawer that was only half the size that it was supposed to be? Half as long but the right width? I was fortunate enough to catch this early as I would have never dreamed they would do that? So today they have brought the replacement one & fixed that too.

Don't back down, you should get what your paying for and nothing less. So sorry you have to go through this. Seems people just don't take pride in their work or care anymore.
Hang in there, it will be worth it in the end.

thank you I will do my best. I am so glad that we only put a deposit down...I do believe they would just leave it if we had paid in full!

Don't pay any more money until everything is 100%, otherwise some things will never get fixed.

Oh, what a pain! Good for you that you insisted on things being done right. I would refuse to pay until everything is the way they should be!

Luckily some errors are now fixed. Good luck, it will be finished soon!

I am happy with what he has fixed. It is quite lovely! but the handles are all on back order sigh.............

anssmile by anssmile 02 Jun 2014

Don't pay anything until you have your handles. It will motivate them to chase the order from their side.
