Absolutely stunning!!!! Definitely worth all your time and effort.
Wow! Stunning! Beautiful! I absolutely LOVE him! You did such a fantastic job picking the colors to make him look so real. wow... ***FLOWERS***
well, you sure did a gorgeous job!! I looked last night, I saw that the owl is on sale for $1.08...no Tiger eye. Did they have the eye of the Tiger on sale too because I missed that sale :(
I bought this beautiful design in hopes that one day I could sew it. I'm planning ahead. LOL Your work is exquisite.
Now's the time to do it. Pick a rainy day. When better to sit and sew??? Christine
Breathe taking! Wow, I read about the 2 needle changes, 12 hours and 122000...that is amazing. :)
My gracious. That IS a piece of art. He comes right off my screen toward me. Congrats on finishing!
It's beautiful and your thread choices are wonderful.
I tried getting the threads as close to what EmbLib had done and I only think the eye could have been yellower! Christine. There wasn't as many colours as you might first think.
That is priceless! Beautiful! Great job!
I don't think I could give it away now after the time effort. Christine
This is terrific! What size needle did you use, and what type of fabric ? I don't mean to be nosey, but I have been to intimidated to attempt something like this. This is truly a work of art!
Hugs, Nadyne
Hi Nadyne. I used a cotton which I ironed a light interfacing on the back and then placed a fairly thin wadding and of course hooped it with stablizer and out of habit more than anything I float another piece of stablizer which you probably don't need with all the other layers. But I know you could do it too. I think getting the fabric and layers right to begin with helps a lot as the design get denser as it goes along. Have a go. Let us see what you come up with? Luv Christine
I admire your perserverance in stitcking with this project. It is a fabulous and deserves to be hung in your house where everyone can enjoy it. I often think of these designs as being for multineedle machines, but you just proved that a single needle can do it too! Good work!
It is gorgeous.......great design and great stitching!
It is a terrific design. It stitched out beautifully and I had no trouble. All the edges were covered as each colour sewed out.
This is amazing.. Beautiful stitch out and detail.. May I ask what was total stitch count..
Gorgeous!
Thank you. Not usually the sort of design I would embroider. Love Christine
wow , it is stunning, how many hoopings did you have to do
Hugs Pam
this is beautiful. you need to send it to embroidery library, you may receive a gift. again beautiful.
Thanks for the idea. I'll do just that. It will be a first. Luv Christine.
Stunning! What a beauty! I love the detail, the superb shading, the expert digitising. And you stitched it out beautifully! How many colours did you use? The yellow of the eye has 4 shades I think, and the white to grey too, the orange to brown - it must have been an nice collection of threads you used!
Thank Mops. There wasn't so many colours at all. Not as many as you might think nor as many as some other designs I've stitched. The most I've done is I think 42 colours on a small Christmas circle picture. Luv Christine.
AWESOME !!!!!!! I WANT TO STITCH ONE OF THESE !!
Very eye catching looks lovely is it what they call a photo design or just an embroidery design? I know how surprised I am some times how long it takes to sew out an embroidery design with a lot of colour changes
well worth it though yours looks great
I think you might mean photo stitch but this is just a normal design but does have slight shading.
wow, it looks fantastic. 12 hours is a long time and here I was thinking 2-3 hours was a long time to stitch a design.
This is the longest project I've undertaken. I suppose you could do it over a few days but once I start I like to finish. Christine
It is simply stunning Christine. I love anything that Embroidery Library does, except their designs are so dense. It looks fabulous. Love and blessings Chris
It wasn't too bad to begin with but of course as colours overlap towards the end it got denser. You right.
You can almost feel him in front of you
I think so and now there is an "owl eye" on EmbLib which I'm tempted to try!!! Will I??? Christine
Gosh, that's unbelievable, where did you get the design from? Jo
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing your stitching experience. I have the same design for the 5 x 7 frame. I will remember to slow down the machine. Great idea.
Good luck. You'll love him and also change the needle a few times especially if the thread starts to keep breaking. Love Christine
So real . He is looking right into my soul. Fantastic. What size hoop did you use and....... how many stitches?, Great job :)
I used a 6 x 10 hoop and this is the middle size design Embroidery Library has with almost 122000 stitches. Best wishes Christine
WOW! He's just gorgeous. What a lot of work for you, but well worth it for the beautiful results. Great job!
It is very stunning which is what tempted me in the first place. Christine
