Thank goodness it wasn't double carpal tunnel surgery. hehe. Can you stand a bit - elevate your machine? Or just take a week off! Hope your new knee and therapy go well and you are back in full service (stitching, downloading, chatting with Cuties, shopping for fabric and notions...) shortly!
I am able to walk with crutches but sitting with my feet down is difficult, so laptop on lap (Gets quite hot though!))
Way to go, Lique!! Follow your doc's orders & hopefully you have a great PT person! They are as important as the doctor! I've had both knees done & you'd never know it! Hope you're up & running soon!
Congrats on your new knee......did you get one of those new type that are suppose to work more like a human knee? Glad you are on the road to recovery!
Yay for you! My Dad had his knee done too. Up and about very quick, and he is so happy he did it! Do what the docs tell you to do!!!! Now you are the "Bionic Woman" :) ***FLOWERS***
Glad your surgery went well. Praying for your recovery. Take care!
Wow! That is a lot of limitations, especially if you are not used to them, however the other side of the coin is you have dedicate stitch time! Lol! For the next week you have to keep your feet up, that is tough to do! Hang in there next week is not far away!
I am glad everything went well. Best of luck for a speedy recovery! The 6 weeks will pass quicker than you can imagine, so soon everything will be back to normal! My prayers are with you.
They did something to my kneecap in December 2013, promising my walking problems were over. I had to stay in hospital for 3 days. Lucky you for going in and out!
Well now I have a double jointed knee which makes me fall if I am not careful. (Don't understand why, can't determine when it happens. I think it goes sideways? But it sure acts double jointed at times! ) And now I have problems climbing stairs, which I did not have before. And I still have problems walking...
Now that is amazing. I am so glad that you are doing well considering. So keep those legs up, continue with rehab and before you know it you will be doing a happy dance,
That's motivation for you! Go well in your recuperation period.
This is a woman on a mission!!!! LOL Good for you, girl! I pray you will heal quickly and perfectly. I have heard many times that the trick to it being successful is doing the rehab exactly as prescribed.
Good luck on you knee... My sister has had three... the first one they had to redo 2 years later. Takes a good year to recoup too. My best to you! Suzanne
Have had one knee replaced and am waiting for a date for the other knee now. I have actually done machine embroidery with my foot resting up on a stool! Only because it was something that had to be done. LOL. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
It really is amazing what they can do these days. Just take it easy and don't try to over do things - not worth it. Sarah
Thank goodness it's all done now. Make sure you do all the exercises that your physician has planned for you. My Mum has had 3 knee replacements. The first one done in Adelaide didn't work - so when she came up here she had the left one done again and then 4 years ago she had her right one done. She was religious in doing her exercises and walks brilliantly nowadays. Love Chris
