It's just a number Meri! Let's pray there are many more for you to count.
As Francis Bacon said "Age appears best in four things: old wood to burn, old wine to drink, old friends to trust and old authors to read".
So in my mind, grab a good book to read, invite a friend over and sit in front of the fire with a good glass of red (or white) and enjoy life!
Love Chris
Aww, thanks Chris! I have no close friends except for Maurice and he is always close, we don't drink ( too many prescribed meds, and we have no fire place!!! lol I love the sentiment though! Actually, being 60 doesn't bother me but it has made me think that time is getting short so make the most of it while I can. God, love, family and friends mean so much more when you take time to appreciate them and it's time for appreciation!
I remember looking at the 10 year graduates from High School on floats in the homecoming parade and thinking they were old.....28! My how our perceptions change.
Yahoo, let the fun begin! And guess what! I used to think 70 was old, but it's not! All in the mind...but SOME days the body doesn't always follow your mind! LOL
You're as young as you feel and as old as you look or is that the other way around?
I am so happy that you have enjoyed your birthday Meri. This IS the next chapter in your life so do make it a very good read ! Hugs~
