I have just read reviews, re thread caught in tension rings. Always cut thread at the top and pull from the needle end, this way you will not have problem with thread caught in tension rings.

One of my very first trips back to the de3aler was because I had not done this. A lesson learned well, when he took machine apart & showed me the tiny piece of thread that was keeping my machine from running.. Always cut thread at top & pull through from needle end. If thread breaks I use air can 4 puffs till I see an end I can pull on through by using tweezers to get it, *4U

That is so true.That is what I have been telling my friend for ages and she still does it the other way around. You really can't teach an old dog new tricks!That tip deserves a flower.

Probably the worry of bending a needle. And if you can't teach old dogs new tricks how come there are so many of us (over 55's) who have only just started learning to machine embroider and digitise having never done it before????
