I missed this too. This is gorgeous! Love the colors and idea.
Wow Kim, that looks so beautiful. Great job on the placement etc. I don't know how I missed this one last year, so glad when people bring up older projects. Love Chris
Wow! How did I miss this beauty? Well done!
This is just so wonderful. I love your design. I understand you did this ITH but where did the shell design come from? It is so elegant! Just love it!
I will have to double check...I know I digitized some extra elements in the design to get what I wanted...so it is not just one that I purchased...
Very pretty lampshade!! It looks quite nice! Genius!
Ho strange!! I printed out a pattern just yesterday so I could make a shade for a wine glass and mine are not as elegant as yours, but mind will do..May look at a boutique store for a single one....I love yours with the embroidery on it....Is it paper or fabric, I would guess fabric I think.
It is just devine, I love it....evie
Thank you, Evie...it is done on fabric...the tutorial link that baydreamer posted was done on paper...
Thank you Kim...I do not have a hoop large enough to make the shade, but I might be able to make a pattern from the paper one I have and see what happens....Thanks again....evie
Stunning work . well done. I wonder what fabric you used please.
Hugs Pam.
Thanks Pam...I used a home decorating fabric...similar to what I used for my window treatments at the link below...

I adore this. I have been wanting to do something like this but still stuck in brain for getting round to trying. I was out other day and got some tea lights for 25 cents each with this in mind and another idea. Guess I am like molasses or slower lately with my projects indoors. Glad to see this beautiful piece. Great job.
Great buy on the tea lights! Thanks for your kind comments...these are fast and easy!
Please, please tell me where to get ITH project
I wrote about the one with the heart
but ITH is even better
please give information
I am fairly new to all of this and how it works
at age 65 computers win most of the battles
Thanks so much...I drew the pattern for the lampshade and then digitized it to be sewn in-the hoop...
This one is also gorgeous! My DH has a cousin who lives at the shore - his wife would love to have something like this. The embroidery design is wonderful. Great job!!!!
Really gorgeous, these are so cute and such a clever idea! :-}
Lovely! It is nice to have it done ITH as it makes it very convenient and probable sew out quicker! May I ask, please, is the one shower end I see a straight line left open for turning and then you go back and close the opening when you join the two short edge dips together? I want to try your idea as I have a cute little snowman tea light and the little glass shade got broken, so. I thought I use your idea and make my own fabric shade for him. Thank you! Sharon
As are you, Dear Sue, for pushing the envelope and sharing your wonderful creativity with us. Thank you!
