Your saga makes me realise how lucky we were when we had our kitchen done. We had a wall removed, 2 doorways moved, a funny shaped area turned into a walk in pantry, and all new fittings, appliances and floor covering in kitchen and hallway. Because of the structural changes the dining room and hallway also had to be painted. All done in 3 weeks, no hassles and we are lucky enough to have a granny flat with a tiny kitchen area to use while it went ahead. You will be very happy when it is complete and it is going to be beautiful! Hang in there, cheers, Bev
wow you did extremely well having al that done in three weeks I can't even get the handles we ordered in MARCH? Thanks for sharing Bev. ~hugs~
You continue to be ahead of me. I still need to call the counter guy. The counters are waiting. The sink and faucet are ready to go but we still haven't gotten out dishwasher delivered. I will wait patiently with you.
oh Karen it is a challenge for sure. We have the dishwasher but have been told the over the stove microwave is now on back order until the end of JULY! Best of luck to us both
Kitchens and bathrooms are the worst rooms to have to have turned upside down and inside out aren't they Loralye? We haven't had our kitchen done yet-my husband keeps telling me to decide what I would like-I don't have that many wants-other than having it all done TOMORROW!!! LOL. I would love a new kitchen and all new appliances-but the inconvenience is not something I look forward to. But hey lady-you are almost there!!! Just think how nice it will be when it's complete-brand new, fresh and clean and many family gatherings and holidays to be celebrated there. Hang in there sweetie-it'll all come together soon ~linda~
Patience is something I am relearning.........................well trying to relearn lol thanks Linda, ~hugs~
Thats the day i have my second eye surgery ,so i will be thinking of you hugs
Oh dear, the kitchen is the heart of the house and you are right is even
more difficult to redo a kitchen with small kids. I wish you Good luck
and some patience.
One thing you are learning in this stage - remembering recipes which are simple and quick to do or go out for lunch/dinner every day.
Pls keep your sanity
lol thank you Maria. Now that we have a stove I can cook, never thought I would be happy to say that but I just started to do a little cooking before this reno so I am glad that I can do more now. ~hugs~
I'd miss my sink and a lot more - maybe, my sanity.
Yeh I have all but lost that too lol. I think we are doing pretty good not to be griping @ one another so it's all good so far. ~hugs~
