Clipartoon started a new series of freebies, called Bamboo. They look nice at first sight and I digitised the first today. But now I find them rather boring. The flowers are all the same, the leaves aren't. It stitches out nicely enough, but I would not like 10 of them.

What do you think?

I think you have this all figured out! Just wanted to flower ya'all!

I agree that 10 are too many. I like the more graceful curve of the stem in the second pic and it would be pretty behind an initial or two, or beside a name.

Thank you. I agree. There are a couple of others that look promising too, but they are realised one at a time, twice a week, so I'll wait and see what comes next.

Thank you all for your input!

Oops, released, not realised.

what if you change the color of your flowers? Yellows, purples, blues... ***More Flowers for All***

Of course the colours can be changed. But what I want to do is rotate the flowers a bit, one more than the other, that would give them a slightly different look.

The second one is more eye applealing . The leaves complemintary to the size of flower. Stems curls fill the space just right.

I thought so too.

I can see several used as a border on curtains. The same yet different so less boring than just repeating one motif. They seem very peaceful.

That's exactly what I thought.

I like the simplisity of the flowers, but as you said maybe not all 10 are that interesting and if a digistizer gets bored creating them then heaven help us embroiderers trying to place and stitch them

I looked at them, at Clipartoon. I agree with you that 10 are too many.
I would choose those with more movement and foliage, like 4, 5, 7 and 8 (your bamboo 1-100x170 is their 8). I like the no.9 as well but it's similar to no.7.

Correction: their no. 9 is similar to 5 (I think) :)

The order they are displayed is not the order they release them, which is a bit confusing. I'll have a look at the ones you mentioned, collect them all and might choose the nicest to digitise.

I think these are #10 and #8 in the picture.

I agree with you. Very pretty, but after a while they would all look too similar.

Looks nice. I like the graceful curve of the second one. I was wondering how they would turn out. I have a baby quilt in the making with an applique giraffe. I think it needs something and thought this might work with out the flowers - to make it look like a tree branch starting from the edge of the square. I only have 5D Extra and only tried the auto digitized feature one time. I may try it if I don't run out of time. I only have a month to get the whole thing completed!

You are right, without the flowers it would be nice. And parts of it, like a cluster of 3 leaves and a cutl, could be useful as small additions to other things.
If you don't succeed with 5D Extra send me a PM.

I did email as you as suggested. Yes, a cluster of the leaves would be useful for lots of things.

This one is very pretty, but I'm with you on having 10 of the same flower and slight difference in leaves.

Thanks. That's what i thought. It's a quicky to make compared with the begonias. I think I might have a go at the most elegant of the lot and forget the rest.

Alas, that is what your digitizing experience brings...however, they are lovely none-the-less!

Thank you, but there is not much variation in the different designs that make up that set. So one might be nice, but I wonder if anybody would be interested in more than one.
