Fantastic hats.. love all of them and how you made the straw ones do much better than they were... Now the red one you made is in a class all its own... I love the fact that you took the time to figure out the bill.. and the tie in the back....Thanks for the idea and for a site so I don't have to use to much of what I have left in brain power.;-) Thanks again for sharing y our lovely hats.
Very pretty! Hope they sell well.
Thanks.The purple butterfly on straw went instantly as I delivered today.
Love all of them, you have done a great job!
Hugs, Lidia
These are all very lovely, the embellishments are just the right touch! May I have the last one...okay, okay... I'll settle for an idea of where the pattern came from. Now if you say your head; we are in deep trouble. :-}
Well is a deepword, lol. It did come from my head, however to help you out if your not into the compass and measuring. Go to http://www.allfreesewing.com/Acce... If you don't see hat similar then type in the search box Sun Hat once your on their site and it should give you a similar pattern minus the tie part.
Thank you for the fun reply, I couldn't resist teasing you, the design is perfect for me as I don't tan at all just burn and peal etc. Love the hat, you did a fantastic job...thanks for sharing. :)
boy Mary these are wonderful & just what I need too. where did you get the pattern for the red one please? The fsl are terrific here! ~hugs~
Thanks Loralye, I put a address for one something like mine I saw below in sebsews comment with my reply. Hugs and flowers.
These are very nice and I especially like the one you made. What pattern did you use for the red flower hat? I must make one! Thanks for your posting of such a great project. Hugs, Suzanna
I used the shape from ball cap to do the hat the brim was done from measuring the hat top then used a compass and that was something I not done since 7th grade. I had to ask hubby for a quickie refresher course. I now and making come other goodies as I went out bought me a big set of dividers, and a protractor. I saw a hat similar but not mine at http://www.allfreesewing.com/Acce...
I like how you embellished the straw hats and the sewn one is a nice design with that open brim. It must be very easy to adjust the width till it fits.
Thank you, the embellish was fun. The sewing one does adjust or can use for pony tail to hang out.
They are so pretty. I think Embroidery Library has a tutorial on embroidering on straw hats.
Wow Mary these look very lovely ,the people will be very happy!!!
These look great! Did you know you can embroider right on the straw hat brim? Don't remember the exact directions, but bet someone on here does! Or you can google it.
Thanks Gerry I have thought I might try just chicken as did not want to mess up her hats. I will try for a google later.
