Frustrated today...

since 3 weeks we are working at the renewal of our kitchen. I thought I had planned enough time to do everything, but then.....
our telecommunication/internet was down approx 2 weeks
and I couldn't verify and clarify,
the weather became unusually hot (bad for working) for Germany in May/June,
we got notice from the supplier of the kitchen equipment they had a delay for few, but essential boards / cupboards,
then another "sorry, we can supply only another week later"
today we personally wanted to order the solid wooden worktop (bench) after I phoned some shops i our area
and was told they got it in stock but all(!) stock is sold out and delivery-time will be approx 2 weeks or so.
Also online ordering is not possible with an earlier delivery time....

We would be patiently waiting but in 2 weeks we expect the visit of our sweet guest daughter Magrietije and her sister Esther coming from Southafrica after 4 years and I so much wanted to have the new kitchen
ready when the girls come.

What annoys me most is that we really thought we started early enough: Cross your fingers please that there'll be a quick solution for my kitchen problem
Maria

You guys keep confirming for me that I should continue to like my outdated black and stainless steel kitchen until it comes back "in" again. I don't need these headaches.

Perhaps these folks need a little bit of motivation. We hired a company to install a furnace in our house a few years back. The guy who was to do the work spent the summer sitting in our garage, drinking beer and talking on his phone to his girlfriend. After waiting all summer to have a 1 week job completed, we told him that he had exactly 48 hours to finish the job or he would not be paid another dime (we had paid only for materials at that point). He called every person he knew in the furnace installation business to get the job done, and finished with only 45 minutes left. Motivation worked! I hope that you can find some sort of motivation to help them along!! Good luck.
