One of our friend's foster son saw the PVC chair that we made and I embroidered on for our little granddaughter. The 16 year old young man said, he wished he had a chair with his own name on it - so, when I saw Basketkase's (Vicki) camp chair embroidery - I knew this was what I could do for him. It will be a surprise for him and I so hope he likes it. I definitely will be making more - I already have request from our own kids!!! I looked everywhere for just the right font for him and after hours of looking - I found it right on my embroidery machine!!!!

These are a great idea. This will help the young man have something to call his very own that he can take anywhere with him. How thoughtful of you to do this. :-}

It was Vicki's project that gave me the inspiration - I knew I needed to make him something with his name on it. Thank you for your kind words, Leaha!! Hugs, Laura*

Good looking chair, did I miss something I was waiting on how it was done and the stabilizer that was used

BasketKase embroidered some camp chairs a few pages back and that is where I picked up the idea. I used heavy tear away stabilizer and my DH took the chair apart. I took the stitching out of the chair tube holder and stitched on it and sewed it back together. Thanks, Laura*

Thanks, Toogie, you have to do one for your husband!!! He will love having one with his name on it!! Hugs, Laura*

Leaha by Leaha 24 Jun 2014

Toogie, since your husband says someone always has 'HIS' chair you ought to make his named chair 'HIS' and he will always get a kick out of knowing where 'HIS' chair is! LOL

dailylaundry by dailylaundry 24 Jun 2014

That is such a cute idea!!!!

toogie by toogie 26 Jun 2014

Leaha, it's not a problem him knowing where his chair is,its others getting 'his' chair.-lol Maybe if I stake a claim (put his name) that would detour them from sittting.Maybe....

dailylaundry by dailylaundry 26 Jun 2014

I would be tempted to put his name on it and under his name - put in parenthesis, (all others, sit in this chair at your own risk!!).
