My SS did a great job. If I didn't know better I would think she was in my Kitchen when she made it. I put it on my table as soon as we finished dinner and I told my husband he better not mess it up LOL.
She did such a wonderful job. my Kitchen has roosters and cows.

1440WOW or WOW! I just received my incredible gift from my secret sister! It is totally okay with me that it took her extra time to complete. She has been really sick and in pain. Don't worry, I just mailed mine too! I can't believe she made this incredibly cheerful and huge totebag! It is pieced, and quilted and stippled and just amazing! It has some of Ms Veronika's lovely flower designs in the brightest of colors - there is no way I could look at this bag and not smile. It is exactly what I needed! Look at how gorgeous it is! My husband I went to Denver yesterday to do some errands, and I nearly filled it up with "stuff" I needed to take along and it looked so extra pretty in the backseat of the car. I opened the back door just to look at it! What a happy, happy thing to receive in the mail. Thank you, secret sister, I only wish I knew who you are, so I could thank you more personally, for making my day so cheerful. I am going to hang it on the door in my sewing room so I can smile every time I see it. I LOVE it! I can't believe all the great stippling! Oh! and it has pockets in the lining! Who are YOU dear secret sister???

How many were in this one all up, please Sue? It's good they are almost all done/communicated about now, with only one really not accounted for. In that one, I'm sure the sender is comfortable that it's gone, but it's so frustrating to be the maker and not have what you made appear :(

I know with my gift I was "received" more than a week before I actually received it. I am in the USA where that is supposed to be unusual. Try to give this a little more time. I have made a new post hoping some of the "lost" gifts will find the way to this post

Did you mean that your postal service said it was received before it actually was, Rescuer? I registered the tracking number of what I sent and never did get advice that it had been delivered -yet it was posted on here very promptly. I think there are a number of human or mechanical errors still, though I think it has vastly improved from years ago :)

Mine was at the post office -- but they did not tell me. They did tell the one that relayed it to me that the package had been delivered.

76409If there are perhaps any SS from South Africa still waiting to receive their gifts, I would, from personal experience with the SA Postal services, advise you to ask Sue if she could please, via your SS, obtain the tracking number. My SS posted a registered envelope, it was delivered to the Post Office, but they failed to notify us, via our P O Box locket there, that an item awaited collection. Via kind intervention from Cute, I obtained the tracking number, went to the Postmaster, the envelope was indeed there - and on it an inscription to say they had given me two notifications!!! . My SS recepient hasn't posted either, but I sent late and I know the USPS has been SLOW as of late. On top of that many had a very busy week last week getting ready for family get togethers over the 4th of July weekend. That being said, I hope to see more posted soon.

I agree, I am very disappointed that the gift I sent and was received hasn't been posted. I was so excited about the gift exchange and this was an extreme letdown for me. So here I am now trying once again in between enjoying this wonderful weekend!!
Thanks you so much to my SS for the fantastic kitchen towel set! It is being used in our RV as we speak and several people have ooo'ed and aaahh'ed over the set.
I was asked where to find the colored towels at and all I could say was I know my SS was from MN, but I have know idea if she got them in a store or ordered them on line somewhere. I would love to get a few more myself for gifts, but I've never seen them in the stores I go to.

I am looking forward to seeing the remaining seven, I do know of one that is missing for a very good reason but I'm sure it will get there. It seems to have been a great Cute 7th Birthday. I know of one parcel that started its journey in Aisia, travelled through Africa and ended up in Europe.

2974Sor saorry about the delay in posting but i had a new hub and it would not let me onto the internet so i have fitted the old one back.
Many thanks to my SS who must know me so very well as i recieved a wonderful little pouch and it is so bright and will give me so much please for a long time to come as it is just the right size to hold all the bits and pieces that i use with my little Elna sewing machine,so it will be going on ta ta's with me in the little motor home.and traveling the roads around the UK
I have taken photos of the front and the back of it, but let me tell you that even the inside of the pouch has some wonderful matching fabric that sets it all of.
Again many thanks to my SS and to Sue for setting it all up when she has been so very busy in her own life..

This is lovely -what a great print fabric, let alone the beautiful embroidered design. Once upon a time I might have made a guess as to who made that, however the making of in-the-hoop pockets has spread like an addiction, so it now could have been anyone! Whoever it was, they made a lovely job of it -well done, SS!

Yes it is stitched on a handkerchief and I love it. I have it setting beside my computer and sewing machine.

45918My apologies to my SS for not posting pictures when I opened your incredible present. I had to rush into town to get some stuffing to make an inner for your cushion. I feel that I have the most original gift so far. The work and thought that has gone into my gift gives me a lump in my throat. It is juste marvelous, a tote bag, with my prefered colours, blue, pink and purple, the both sides are made with patchwork and every square is embroidered. Inside there is a nice fabric light blue and several pockets.Thank you very much to my SS for all this beautiful work!

39739In my lifetime I have been blessed to receive some amazing gifts and I keep and cherish each and every one.
So why did my CuteEmbroidery Birthday gift bring me to tears?
Well because my SS looked into my very heart's desire and made me something that is so totally 'me', I was astonished and touched. (my friends might say I am "touched" anyway), but this was that 'warm all over', 'reduce you to tears' kind of touched when you can feel the love, the thought and the amount of work that went into a gift and that that gift was made for me. (That "Sally Field Academy Award" kind of moment)
Let me just say my photography skills are inadequate to do justice to this lovely gift.
The colour combination, of the sewing organiser, is my all time favourite of Dusky pink, Orchid and deep rich Burgundy and the gift itself is something I have wanted to make for myself for at least as long as I have been embroidering, nearly 7 years.
But truly, I could not have made anything this wonderful.
And the gorgeous Birthday Cake pincushion is one I have never even seen before, it will sit beautifully in my PC collection, far too pretty to use.
All I can say is, thank you dear Secret Sister, from the bottom of my heart.
I don't think I even told anyone I had planned to make my sewing room in those colours when Ray finishes building me some walls and lining the others.

Airyfairy , I'm close behind you (also South Africa) to have opened my present! My husband woke me this morning with a cup of coffee and by saying 'Today is the day you can open your present!' . I received a beautiful apron made especially for 'Patricia and her kitchen'. 23163Its just under half an hour to the 1 July so as the day is going to be very busy and I needed cheering up I opened my beautiful gift. I have been given a purse made from sueded fabric in two colours. One is a creamy beige and the other a golden colour with a golden coloured design. It is stunning and I am very pleased with my super gift. So happy birthday all and thanks very, very much to Sue for arranging this great swap and to my SS for her beautiful work. Apologies if I have not done justice to your lovely work with my poor photo. I am not sure if its possible to see but there is a delicate row of decorative stitching over the join in the fabric. A lovely touch that I will use elsewhere. I forgot to add there is a pocket inside and a lovely card. Photo to follow for that
