My first posting was feb 2008 but was a sideline member for nearly 6 myths before I got game and posted. Sadly a lot of the oldies have left, but luckily we have a lot of lovely newbies. Thankyou ms v for being here for us ;)
I remember the warm greetings when I first decided to post something. I had been "lurking" for a very long time. My best recollection (based on photos I have) that I joined in October or November 2008. I didn't see the need to purchase a membership until I stopped working full time. Now, I wouldn't know what to do without it!
I joined in Oct 2007 and bought my first subscription 15 Dec 2007. I did not post a question for a long time, but answered a few. I remember you and cutiepie, ruthie and jrob from those days. And the pink and blue birds in the site's name. Have been here almost every day since then. No wonder holidays give withdrawal symptoms!
I still have the pink and blue birds on one computer from the early years here.
My first paid membership was 2008 but was a silent visitor much longer. I remember well the earlier days. Yes, there are still a few still around. Do you remember the quilt you made using the clothing tags many of us sent you. That was the neatest idea and fun to see you completed project. I still have the magnet on my frig.
Wow. Congratulations, the original members are all celebrating a '7' year old birthday too! Thanks for creating the site, Ms V. and thanks to all you Originals for forming the nucleus of the website and allowing us who have recently joined to share in the wonderful camaraderie known as 'Cute Embroidery'. :-}
Well done for your staying power! You've been here for 2 years longer than I have.
Raelene - I was just looking at when I joined - it was Feb, 2008. I didn't post a project until a year later - I was such a newbie!!! I just have to say a "Thank you" to all who helped me with all my silly questions!!! Hugs, Laura*
I remember you too Raelene! There aren't many of us originals left, and there are so many I miss.
I looked at the first project I posted here, it was a Halloween shirt for Luke who was 5 months old then. He's now 7 years. My how time flies.
And I remember you were so kind and helpful when I joined the cute family in 2009.
