This is perfect, I have never thought xstitch and towels would go together so well. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us..
Martine - this has turned out beautifully. Thank you for your help. Sarah
Nice Martine, this is the kind of machine cross stitch I like. Neat and simple. why not leave the curls, and maybe add a couple of small leaves around the 2 flowers. Love it/Lillian
This is very pretty, nice work! It just looks real to me, and the texture is very nice on the cross stich, it adds an extra dimension in my opinion.
A perfect lovely arrangement & Vicki is quite right terrific for Christmas too! ~hugs~
You are a very creativ woman, somebody speaks about crossstitch and 1, 2, 3 you have done a beautiful design on a towel. I never had in my mind to embroider crossstitch on a towel, but this looks great.
Martine, you don't let the grass grow under your feet! All in a day's work.
Thank you. My father used to call me Tinus Plotseling, that in this context means more or less "at once".
I love it! Excellent work both with the design and the stitching!
Wonderful to see cross-stitch on a towel!! My new daughter-in-law does cross-stitch by hand and told me embroidery machine cross-stitch was "cheating", she was saying it in a teasing manner - so, I have decided make her something with cross-stitch ... but, the pressure is on me as I have never done cross-stitch and I want to impress her!!! LOL, Your pretty guest towel has me thinking!! Hugs, Laura*
Stitching it out is a piece of cake, and it is nice to see how the crosses are made. This one has some 13000 stitches, 4 colours and stitched out beautifully.
And I think it is a bit like cheating, but so is all machine embroidery.
I cheated in another way too: I joined the elements in my software, so it is actually one design, no placement issues, and it easily fits my large 200x360mm hoop for the Ruby as it is 1.83"x 10.46"
My new DIL is truly a sweet girl and I did understand. I plan to look through my Cross-stitch stash and find just the right design to impress her - lol!!!!!!! I have a Babylock Ellisimo Gold - so, I, also, am lucky to have a large hoop. Thanks for the info!!
I opened up the pandora box of cross-stitch and you are making me re-think my position. This is simply lovely!
I would never have thought of using cross stitch on a towel, but really like it. Very pretty
So pretty and delicate looking, Martine....this looks like it could be a great Christmas border, too......
Thank you. Choosing the right reds and some yellow for the centers - I can see that. Thinner golden curls and proper leaves - even better. Another challenge I can't withstand...
