I was at a Craft Show yesterday and, as usual, asking lots of questions and putting in my comments about it being a whole new language. The demonstrator of the Brother Cut & Scan told me & the group of ladies that she told the computer guys to "go easy" on the customers and don't be hard on us as we are sewers & embroiderers, not computer techs.
I think I watched her demonstrate it a couple of times and asked for repeats due to the light making the screen hard to see. Then I made the comment about the new-to-me terms. Now I just need time to play with mine.
So I say thanks to all those who help those struggling (even if they don't know they are struggling) with new terms and techniques that computers require.
And I like some others have been using computers for a long time, but they keep changing what they do and how they do it..
How was the show Pat? I've been at Amy's most days this week and haven't gone. Was there anything new in the way of embroidery machines? How was the new venue? I've heard a lot of people had trouble getting to the new venue. Love Chris

Computers are always changing that's for sure. I am glad those working with you were kind.
That's so nice of you to congratulate those of us who are not so savvy with Computers. I've been using them for nearly 30 years and I can't believe how quickly that time has gone by. Thanks for always being available to help those who are not so confident. Love Chris
Thank you Chris. When I work (in person) with less confident and new computer users, I can see the challenge it is for them to try new things. It must be that much harder for those that do not have someone right there to help them. I really do think that they are very brave.
We all appreciate your expert help, Thank you for all of the time you spend doing our tutorials.
I too am proud of you Cuties that will "step out" of your comfort zone and and learn new things.
I am definitely one that struggles with the computer and without the help of you and Meg and my children I would probably have given up long, long ago. Soooooo thanks to all who have took the time to help those of us who struggle. especially with ea new evolution. It really begins to get funny when you get a new cp and you have to ask your 6yr, old G.G. son " how do I ???" on this cp?". LOL Lillian
Children are fearless with computers. They were born with them and so they try new things with them almost innately. I am in awe whenever I see a 2 or 3 year old do more with their tablet than their parents can do.
"Thank you" you are the cement that holds us together when trying new things while trying to looking cool.. You are definately an inspiration with the very apt name Rescuer.. I tip my hat to all the Moderators with their wealth of knowledge and experience..
We are learning how to do all these things because of your easy to follow instructions,so thank you very much for all your wonderful help
Thank you -- I am very glad my instructions are easy to follow. I just know it can be scary to try something new -- especially with computers. I think all those who are willing to try are very brave!
Thank you to all who have walked me through a change here or simple computer steps. I did not even own a computer when I bought my first embroidery machine. I took a class to learn to download designs from the internet and how to set up "My Designs" and make folders to organize. I am still not good at copy and paste. I have learned to use an external hard drive to back up and i encourage anyone who does not use one to ask questions and purchase one. I am grateful for all the help and advise my fellow Cuties have given through the years. Kay
Well, I would not know how to use my embroidery machine without Cuties. I know others that also have only had instruction from Cute.
I am glad there is something here for all of us to learn.
Thank you. Some days I think I'm techno'ed out and can't learn the next two new things.
And thanks to you who are so supportive of those of us who struggle.
You are always so pleasant to everyone. It makes it much easier to help -- though I do understand the frustration some Cuties feel when their computer will not do what they want it to do.
I love WINDOWS 8 and it was easy to learn. It's much easier to use.

I am glad it is easy for someone. For many, it is like learning a foreign language. There is such a difference between XP and Windows 8
That's me. I've still got a brand new laptop in it's box I've had over a yr. now because I simply cannot get the hang of Windows 8.
Maybe now that you have fast internet you can watch some YouTube videos on how to use your Windows 8
I know that has helped some users.
I just tell people "I'm old enough to know better, too young to resist." In my 15th childhood I have space on my brain chip for new learning. Age 74.

Flower and Thank You for you too, You are always willing to help anyone when they need it with the computer stuff and rescue them
Well, I do try but often I find it hard to find enough time to help. It is especially hard during the summer when I need to spend more of the daytime with my young children.
