I did put in my credit card no, They had a 7 days free trial. And on day 3 money went out of my account to graphic stock. So be careful it is a scam.
I did a quick Google and have seen other stories like yours. People have had money taken out of their accounts after three days. Also the comments that the graphics are nothing that can't be sourced for free on the net.
Don't know why Sew News or Martha Pullen would be promoting this sort of scam.
Thanks for letting us know. I get nervous too about scams and being asked for my credit card. It's best to be safe than sorry.
I already stop at the e-mail. I don't want anymore stuff in my inbox unless I like the product. If you don't let me check it out before I do not want to do business with you. There are some websites that you can not browse in unless you give your e-mail first, Never mind the credit card.
I look forward to hearing what they have to say. I too thought it was a good thing until the credit card thing. I am sure they want you to sign up and not disconnect before the "week" is up so they can charge you. I feel this is the wrong way to do business and will not participate in this type of marketing campaign. I also feel it degrades Martha's reputation.
Strangely enough the e-mail was returned as undeliverable. It wasn't a typo on my part as I used the feedback link on the Sew News website.
My Motto is "If in doubt, don't". Sounds like a scam to me. I am sure there are a lot of legal graphics out there. Marg
Martha Pullen was pushing this too. I don't trust anyone who says it's free but they just need your credit card number.
I did that and when it came time to put in my credit card I got real concerned and backed out. I don't know if they are an honest site or not I just don't want my credit card number out there just to be able to download graphics.
