Help! Does anyone use a Brother PE770?

I am having the worst time embroidering on knit. I've changed needles (I am using a ball point) and used different stabilizers. I've used a sticky bottom stabilizer with a water soluble topper, I've used a cut away for knits with the same water soluble topper. I've played around with the tension some but I'm not too sure about that. Everything I read says to leave it on 00. I'm not hooping the fabric. My thread will break and bunch up inside the machine. I tried the same design on a regular cotton material and it stitched out fine. That tells me it user error! I know it can be done and I can't wait until I figure out how! Thanks for any input :)

I have a 770 I have found my stitching problem to usually be with the needle. I bought special Schmetz embroidery needles and the thread did nothing but break. I put in an ordinary universal Singer needle #11. and it worked great. hope you resolve your issues soon. I know how frustrating it can be. Susan

thank you, I also have the Schmetz but have recently bought Organ needles but not sure if they sent the correct ones-they don't say ball point on the package-I'll have to look into that.

OK, there is a BP after the size so I guess that is ball point, didn't notice that before.

Thank you-I am reading through all that-I'm doing the hooping right and stabilizer-my guess is either the needle or tension

Hi Rocky, I saw an article about how to sew on knit fabrics on SWAK, I've sent you a PM.

Look at the top of the page and you will see a RED CROSS next to the INBOX and that is where you will see the Private mail.

I hope you can find an answer soon. Love and blessings Chris
