Baby Quilt for our first grandchild. The giraffe is appliqued which took much longer than I thought! When I had the top pieced the white area just seems to need something else. So I looked to no avail in my files for a branch of some kind but didn't find anything I liked. About that time MOPS did the designs of the branches w/flowers. Through all of the discussions she offered me one of the designs. It worked perfectly! So a big grateful thank you to MOPS. Pic 1 is a close up, #2 full view, #3 close up of the branch, #4 close up of the outline sections I used to do some of the quilting. Baby shower is this weekend.

Thank you. We only have one son but they do plan to have another. This one is a girl due in Oct. Hopefully they will have a boy also.

235814758It is a beautiful quilt and your appliqued giraffe is a lovely centerpiece. You used the leaves to great effect, they look quite elegant the way you placed them. They go well with the leaves in the embroidered ones and the quilted ones are pretty as well. Beautiful work!
