Thank you, dear friends, I'm doing better today, and I'm going to get some watermelon for sure. I'm trying so hard to keep everything in balance. But balance is sooo difficult. Love you all and appreciate all your warm wishes and prayers. Hugs, Jan
Jan, I am so sorry to hear this. Diabetes can do a whammy on you. Joe was diagnosed with diabetes a few months ago, and I try so hard to cook the right foods to keep his blood sugar in balance. I fix "nibbles" for him to take to work for his mid morning, mid afternoon snacks, such as veggies, nuts, and some fruits. So far, so good. He has so many other health issues, he HAS to keep his sugar in balance!! Hoping you are feeling better, and getting all under control
Loving hugs,
Angel
I hope you get back to the road of recovery. Hugs for a speedy recovery!
Dear Jan, I'm sorry you are going through this. Please take care of yourself, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love,Yoriko
So very sorry you have been ill after all you have been through. Just get well and look after yourself. Hugs Sarah
Take care of yourself no one can do it better than you, will keep you in our thoughts
Jan please take care and I hope that life is improving for you. I remember this happening to a friend years ago. Not nice.
Sorry to hear this, take care yourself and hope you are feeling better real soon. Juanita
Did you know that you were diabetic? It sounds like stress, warm weather and your whole system sent you a message that you couldn't ignore. I hope that you feel better soon. Very soon!
As they told me when breastfeeding, eat FOODS that are high in LIQUIDS, as this can get you a long way to re-liquefying yourself (I know that's not the word. So, watermelon or cantaloupe, if you can tolerate that amount of near-liquid sugar, cucumbers, soups, sugarless Jello, stewed tomatoes, custard (control amount of sugar), veggies with their stock, or just do as my grandpa did. When the meal was over he went to the kitchen and drank all the leftover liquids from the veggies, drinking everyone's vitamins. (He lived to age 96).
Bet your skin is dehydrated, too. After you shower and while you're still wet apply lotion to arms, hands, feet - whatever's most dried out. The lotion does not rehydrate - it simply holds the water from your shower TO your skin and the WATER itself rehydrates you.
Hope you begin to improve quickly.. Sending up a little prayer for you!
Dear Jan, I'm so sorry that you're going through this. As all the others have said, please take care of yourself. You know you should know better as you've been looking after that 56 year old man with diabetes. I hope all your family will 'mother' you so much that you will just bloom. Please take care Jan as we all need you on here too. The flower is the native Sturt's Desert Pea (Swainsona formosa) the floral emblem of South Australia (no perfume to upset you!!!!!)
Love Chris
Praying for you!!! Hoping you get better super fast!!! Hugs, Judy
That's sounds awful. I hope thing will get stable so you feel better real soon.
I hope you are a bit better now ? Life is not so easy with Diabetic. My mother and mother-in-law both had diabetics. they always need to take care of there food and drinks
My dear Jan......what are we going to do with you??? What was more important than hydrating yourself and taking care of yourself? Your family needs you!! There, that was the mother in me talking, now please take care of yourself as we need you, too!!!
That sounds awful. I hope that you will recuperate real soon.
I am sorry to hear your body is stressing. It makes sense though, with what you have experienced the last couple months. Now you have to listen to your body and take good care of yourself. FSL almost stitches itself! I always feel better just watching a piece come together. or maybe it is hearing the sound of stitching that soothes my soul, I just got home, my machine has been here for 24 hours and I really want to unpack it! I have chores first. But I will be stitching before the day is through! Yeah!
Get well soon my friend, and come to town and visit me please.
And tell yourself that also. You have to find something you casn eat and drink. You hear.
Oh, sweetie, I'm praying that you will get much better, very soon!
darn disease... Get well quickly!!! Drink and eat much as you need. Thoughts and Prayers with you! and ***FLOWERS*** too
So sorry to hear of your illness! Yes, diet and monitoring is very important for diabetics. I hope you get better soon. All the best.
