Every year I pick and dry my lavender. And every year I sew different small bags. This year I decided to make small dresses.
By the way, I used the lavender from my Secret Sister from the Cuties Birthday too.Because I am in my garden each day I have no time to sew, but this was a quick work for the evening, so I could fill and close the opening in the garden. I did 4 dresses in a 8x8 hoop.

I cut the most lavenderflowers (not all, the butterflys like this plants) with a short stem, about 8cm and put allways a hand full together with a ribbon. This i hang stems up on a dry place untill the flowers are dryed then I separate the flowers from the stems

Where I live it gets over 100 F regularly in the sommer, yet there is a whole street with lavender bushes. Right now they are on their second bloom. Their are so many varieties.

i am living in Germany in a region with temperatures between 30°C in summer and -25°C in winter (not every year). My lavender is 20 years old from the 3 bushes (35cm diameter) I got round about 1 liter flowers after drying and pick. To multiply is difficult.
