Do you use the very large spools of thread? This could be a 'fix' for some of you...... ha ha have a good weekend!!

I have my spool horizontal too, I tied one of the purchased spool holders to the shelf with my threads on which is behind my embroidery machine, your way does the spool have to rotate, the other way mine does not..wendy

I have serious misgivings and bad tidings to anyone putting glue onto my machines.

Looks to complicated for me. The lady at the sewing store used a large binder clip attached to the side of the machine and it worked great! it would not work on this machine.

Hubby made me some out of wood. They have multiple arms with small screws to thread the thread though and pegs to hold the thread. It is handy when you do embroidering.

LOL..how ingenious! My overlocker/serger sits opposite my sewing/embroidery machines and I put my large spools onto the overlocker stems and thread the thread through the extended arm and then thread my machine the normal way. It works like a dream!!

Love it! Now if I can find the plastic extensions for the clothespins to clip onto, we have it made. Thanks.

I bought a heavy metal spool holder, one spool only, for $5.00 years ago, and have not had a problem since. If the spool is too tall to put cap on, I use a short piece of plastic straw. Grannieannie

I generally just put the cone toward the back of the machine making sure it goes around the bobbin winder then thread as usual, it seems to have adequate tension and like jrob there'd be trouble.. someone would loose a few fingers if they glued anything on my machines

Where there's a will there's a way? LOL
Someone would be in serious trouble for putting that pile of glue on my machine, though.

I found a 3 shelf thingie at a thrift store. Has an telescoping arm on the top with guides for the thread. I took the biggest shelf off cause there's no way I could use all the holders. Love it cause I can put all the colors I need for a project on at the start. Best thing I ever bought for embroidery.
