thank you for the wonderful ideas & thanks to Bev & Anita for their help too..................I have gone into my UFO bag & pulled out a table topper & will add the backing & batting before I go & quilt it all together & then add the binding to one half then I will bring it to sew on the other side of the binding. @least this way it forces me to get another UFO finished! It amazes me when push comes to shove just how much we can get accomplished in such a short amount of time!
Draw off a quick octagon and take your scissors, fabric, needle and threads and make some grandmother's garden squares. You can either make it into a quilt or hot pads or place mats or table runners depending on how many you want to whip out.
Whatever you end up taking I hope you have a lovey day. I miss going to days like this. Hugs
ah that is so nice of you to say Shirley & if you lived closer you would be more then welcome to come with me. ~hugs~
Do you have binding on a small quilt that needs to be done? That's the only thing I could come up with. Have a fun day no matter what you decide to do. It is so much fun to be around others and yak, yak, yak. Hugs..Carol
Pin cushions, table toppers, pot holders. What about those 10 minute pot holders, where you fold fabrics to make a square. At least you can get the fabrics together and if you aren't taking your machine, then at least you've got the squares all ready to do. Good luck with whatever you choose. Love Chris
Look up 10 minute pot holder on YouTube.
I meet up with friends every Thursday for sewing. We work on our own projects, have morning tea, talk, some do handwork, some of us bring machines and sew, did I mention talk? LOL At the moment I am working on a table runner. Have a lovely day whatever you decide to do.
IS it handwork or are you bringing your machine? I need handwork & have no idea what I can bring to work on? I better get cracking soon as time is fleeting lol
