I just solved that problem. Bought some unbleached domestic fabric at JoAnne's (the 108 wide but the nicest, & best quality). Cut to size and just hemmed edges. Beautiful. Thanks for the huck towel source. Will try them.
I want to do a follow up. As I had posted to parkermom post, that the shipping charges were outrages at acshomeandwork.com. I had commented on their website about that and received a e-mail next day. They said that they do not blame me for cancelling the order. I guess the website had a glitch when it came up with that amount and it seems to be fixed in the meantime. I now placed my order since their customer service turned out to be awesome.
I'm so glad that you had a better experience than your first one. I didn't mean to sound snotty in my other post--I think I hit submit before I re-read it. I hope you didn't take offense, because it wasn't intended.
I took no offense to it at all. In the meantime I have placed the second order. I like the quality
my daughter got some wonderful, thick flour sack towels from American Chair here's the link:
i think this is the site Julia's Needle Designs has a buy for. I like their kitchen towels with the stripe on either side vertical they also have huck kitchen towels. It is a woven heaver weight towel. Kay
I had wanted to try out their towels. Placed an order where half of it kept on disappearing from the cart. Finally I had an order for $19.40 and with shipping came to $ 59.00.Of course I cancelled.
I can not find anything on Julia's Needle Dersign, but Joanns has them on line.
I would have cancelled too if shipping was that much! Thanks I will check out before ordering.
I live in PA and our Joanne fabrics carry them.
