It has turned out great, I can see you have some good advise from Cuties, can I add that if you are going to get some water soluble stabilizer, It is a good idea to ask on here in the community section in embroidery, where the best place is, to get it from, adding your country,
I purchased a lot of rubbish. before I found a good supplier, I get mine from my Brother dealer..
Hugs Pam.
Thanks. Yes, I get wss from my Brother dealer too but I use it only for cutwork embroidery.....now with all the advise here im going to stitch more of these.
Your first try is great. Terry towels are not the easiest to embroidery. Proud of you!!! Kay
I always use tulle (fine net fabric) on top of my embroidery on towels. The tulle comes in lots of colors & is pretty inexpensive--I match the tulle to the color of the towel & you can barely see it. It is very easy to cut or tear away from the design(s) & will be on there forever. I usually use cut-away on the back because the tear-away is bad about messing up the loops when trying to tear it away. Just my nickel's worth. :c)
Welcome to Cute and thanks for sharing your method of embroidering on towels
Looks pretty from here!~hugs~
I like to do a basting stitch on the towel so it stays put while stitching the design after & then it is really easy to pull the stitches out from the back while still in the hoop & tear away is still on the back too makes it so much easier. Hope this helps
Nice towel and good work..
For embroidering on towels I use a cutaway stabilizer in the hoop. The towel I attach in place with bastingstitches together with watersoluble stabilizer on top (I use Avalon). So the stitches are allways over the loops of the towels.
Thanks so much for the tip. I use plastic food wrap on the top and the WSS for cutwork embroidery.
Lovely work and if you have created this I don't think that you need tips. But I use wws on the top of toweling
No... I used plastic food wrap....cos that was how I was shown when I bought the sewing machine by the dealer.
Thanks for all the help....love you all. Hugs to all.
