Well I got some done on the quilt my son requested I make. He asked that i make him a "MANLY" quilt using rustic colors. LOL What do y'all think? Is it " manly " enough?

I got mine at Sharman's Sewing Center in Tyler, Texas. However if you go to the website http://purelygates.com you may find someone there. I have Texas Mylar #2 and #3. If you find someone who carries Purley Gates Embroidery they might be able to order what you want.

I would say you hit the nail on the head.. .. Since he wanted a manly quilt I will reframe from using the usual beautiful and say a very 'handsome' quilt. A job more than well done. congratulations to both of you...
OOps should have enlarged the picture first now that I have and see the sparkle it is "beautifully handsome" ;-) What type of mylar or what is the lovely shine??

I get my mylar by the roll at Hobby Lobby for 25sq ft @ $3.99. I find it with the wedding supplies.

I asked him if he wanted it without the shiny stuff. And he informed me he wants the shiny stuff because "Metal is manly".

If this doesn't fit his requirements, nothing you do ever will. This is fantastic and will work great for any manly man...oh and I like it too! :-)

I clicked on each one, and each one is as nice as the other. Outstanding job, on embroidery and choosing the background fabric, for the stripping! I know he will love it for its beauty, & ,because you made it for him-Toogie

Very nice, love the sashing and border fabric. It's hard to get something masculine.

Yes and that's not good for me being that my sister and I only have sons and grandsons.
