Excellent! I am working on mine now! and wow you did well! I do not have a plan for the thread, however I am hoping to hang some pegboard and hold tools. I need some kind of shelving system, and intend to reuse shelves when ever possible. My room is not heated, it gets lots of sun, so it is considered a 4 season porch. I want to heat the floors and hubby says it would be too expensive.
look forward to yours being finished.. Tell dh your worth every cent he'll have to pay for the floor heating.. Remember Happy Wife Happy Life.. my dh's favourite saying..
Love it! I see you have a Madeira Thread Chest, I love mine, but what other brands do you use the most? I need to get mine sorted by colors too, and on the wall, so hard to find one when they are in thread cases, sorted by brand instead of color. Great idea you had...you have inspired me to get mine easier to find. I love Superior thread too, have all the Rainbows. Hugs and blessings.
I have a large mix of Madeira, Marathon and Echidna at the moment and a few QA thrown in that way you have pretty much covered the rainbow of colours available..
That's wonderful! Surely wish I had a great room like that!
A very nice work area. Love your storage bins and thread.
What a lucky person you are to have such a talented husband. Great job, now go have some fun and mess it up....lol Enjoy! Love the buttons on the wall as well your room looks so inviting.
Neat as a pin, would love to get mine to look similar. lol!
You are one very lucky person, nice space to create.
Hugs Pam
I love your big buttons on the wall. All looks great.
Nice sewing room. I have a corner of the family room in the basement. Now that I am down to one kid at home I talked about putting it in a spare bedroom. However, my hubby thinks I wouldn't enjoy it as much since I sew while watching my son play video games. But I would like your thread shelving - your hubby did a nice job.
Well there no time like the present ask you dh to make you one just line up the threads measure the height plus a bit for hands and how many to a shelf you want, I needed it to hold 350 .. eezzy peezzy.
looks great - you will have everybody jelioius!
Great looking storage set up, love the thread storage job your dh did. Love the wood floor.
Thankyou, I love the feel of timber floors and in a sewing area diffinatley no carpets. I'm scared of standing on a pin or needle, this way I can see it..
Your Sewing room looks wonderful, just wish I could expand the walls in mine a bit to make mine a more orderly place. Enjoy your lovely space to work
Thank you, I thought about that to but with 10 grandkids I need the larger room for when they stay
I do love it and you are so blessed to have so much room. .
so very neat and organized/lillian
It looks good, I love the giant buttons on the wall. I would love to get mine organized. I need a man to help me move things... jane
Clone him and send him, with hammer in hand, to me!
It looks so nice and tidy...........now make something and mess it up!-I straighten up, I mess up, ...its endless with me. I do like mine, since I got those see through, rolling containers. I see what I have and where it is now. I know you are glad to get it out of the bags and off those beautiful floors. I love your flooring and now everyone can see it again!
ps. I guess all our hubbys have been making, or made, our thread racks. It's so good when they are 'crafty' too.
Thank you Toogie, I like to mess it up straightening it up won't be so hard now. I only have 19 roller tubs at the moment not sure any more will fit even the wardrobe is pretty full.. I'm extra lucky my hubby is a chippy (carpenter) by trade so can turn his hand to most anything that can be made of wood..
A wonderful room & now you can mess it up too lol. very inspiring to go into your studio & create when it looks so lovely! Well done to you both!~hugs~ PS I too love the buttons what fun they are!
thank you Loralye I love to be inspired to spread and mess, but now no excuses it all has a home now, I love the buttons from IKEA hubby laugh when he hung them and said what else would you put in a sewing room..
Oh my goodness - I am so jealous! How wonderful to have a dh that can do those things! the thread looks so awesome and the cubby hutch is amazing! Looks very nice in there - and only 8x8 - I am surprised. Love your pink wall and the giant buttons too.
