A nice keepsake. Thank you for sharing. Amitiés de France.
excellent job Jerri!!She should be very pleased with it:):) hugs
What a sweet gift! I love using Minkee for baby projects - makes them as cuddly as the child. :-)
Jerri this is so pretty & I'm sure they will love to have this keepsake!~hugs~
Thank you Loralye. The Grandma is actually a school friend from Grade 4 and next weekend we are celebrating our 50th High school reunion, so have known each other for a very long time... Hugs
As always -- excellent work! Minky is so hard to work with I am always impressed by your projects.
Thank you rescuer. I love working with minky and don't have a problem with it. My machine isn't working well, so it was a challenge with this one, but worked out okay.
So sweet...that is quite a name for such a little one!
I love the Minkee too Gerry, Wow! what a name. Beautiful work and a treasured keepsake for an heirloom one day/Lillian
That's a big baby! Well she would have to be, to carry her big name-lol- Congratulations on a well done job! Congratulations too, to the first time g-ma, her life will never be the same!
Thank you. I thought the same thing when I saw how big a baby she was and the long name.
How adorable - I am sure your friend will adore it.
Beautiful! I have not tried embroidering on Minky fabric. Please share what type of stabilizer you use and any other tips (hooping, etc.).
Thank you. I normally use WSS adhesive on the back and regular WSS on the top. The adhesive prevents the fabric from stretching. WSS on top flattens the pile down, so the stitches aren't lost in the fur. I draw my gridlines with a Frixion Pen (ink disappears when ironed) on the top stabilizer, line up the lines with my hoop and then tighten the screw. You can also use a basting outline to help keep it altogether.
That's adorable! I'm afraid to use the minky fabric even though I love it! I'm afraid it will stretch out! What stabilizer did you use?
Thank you. I usually use WSS adhesive on the back of minky and regular wss on the top, but this time I just used regular both top and bottom, but did a basting stitch around each section.
Ahhhh, so cute, they will love it, great job,
big hug
Michelle
Thanks Michelle. I was going to get creative like you do with all your design combinations, but my machine isn't working right, so didn't want to take the chance and I don't have all the cute designs you do....lol
Wow! Gerry what a big baby at over 9lbs! Lovely fabric Minky, it's so soft and cuddly. Looks great. Love Chris
Thanks Chris. She is a very big baby, so guess they thought she needed a lot of names. I love Minky for all my baby things. Hugs
It is lovely Chris. must now go an have a look what Minky fabric is. Looks fluffy to me when I enlarge it.
Sorry it is Jerry once again asleep lol. Looked at the picture and seems alike when so small. Please forgive me!
Not a problem, you can mistake me for Chris anytime.
Minky is a fur like fabric, very very soft...
It's lovely, I'm sure Grandma will love it. A lot of names for a small baby. G
Lovely and I do like the way you have used minky fabric
