I had given up completely on my 5D auto digitizing. With your instructions, I may give it another try. Thank you for sharing your expertise!
Thank you Mops. I have 5D professional and I have not mastered yet.
I would be grateful if you could help us with some tutorials.
God bless.
Bernadette
I don't think I will ever be a digitizer but your instructions are very clear so am going to try to do at least one simple design. I jumped from 4D to 6D and have not had time to sit down and play with it --maybe this winter!! Thanks for sharing your expertise.
Thank you for your instructions, Martine. I have 4D Extra and use it for the applique outline of doilies/wall hangings/tablemats. When the clipart/scanning is good it does a reasonable job even though I have to make adjustments manually, almost every time.
Hugs, Lidia
Hello every one .i just tried to do this and i/we keep forgetting i only got 5d not the extra .I am going to see how much the extra is now or i will try .Thanks mops hugs Caroln
Sorry, I did not know but will hopefully remember. Prepare to be shocked by the price as you can only upgrade to 6D Extra, no longer to 5D Extra.
Hi Martine, that's how I do it. I'm not a fan of it though as sometimes the designs have too many stitches and it comes out looking really weird. I'll leave the digitising up to you professionals. Love our work, love Chris
I totally agree, manual digitising is the way to go. But these simple line drawings work out reasobly well and if it's for one time use the almost instant result is not to be overlooked. Setting the stitch length higher than the default solve the too many stitches problem but you easily loose the smoothnes of your lines when setting it too high. That balance is a matter of concern with manual digitising as well.
Love, Martine
