Sue, these look fantastic! I just went to Urban and got the pattern for myself...Thanks for posting!
These are made from the Urban pattern using a recycled fleece (dog) blanket. I cut the pieces double on a fold at the top so the lining is continuous. There is a visible seam around the sole on the inside.
Thanks again to jrob for the link.
I should have warned you that the pattern is for a size 9 (European size 40) so I cut mine a bit smaller and used a bigger seam. Sorry about that! Looks like you figured it out just fine!
Great job and loved the fact you repurposed a dog blanket. I love changing things from something not loved so much to something much more to your liking. Saving money helps stretch your budget too.
I am hoping to make booties with the warm and natural drapery stuff as the sole so hopefully my feet will be warmer. I also have some down and am hoping to make the tops with it. We'll see.
I have used the Green Pepper slipper pattern and it comes in many sizes, child's and adult's and sews easily and is very comfy. Only bad part not free but well worth to me as I have made many in different sizes.
I just read your post Sue. I have made a couple pair for myself, and a good many for Avery. I see Cuties have found some for you. I enlarged at the copier, but you may still have to make a few adjustments, since they run a little wide. The fleece makes them so warm and I made mine taller too, to keep my legs warm. I have to go to school now, but I'll be back in a couple hours, if you need some help or more info. Good Luck-Toogie
Hi Sue,
Here is the information about Toogie's fleece boots. In reading her responses, she enlarged the pattern for her foot size. Love Chris
Yes, Toogie made some and gave the link for the pattern. They were so cute and looked really warm!
Well Sue I hope yours turn out better than mine. Wasted an hour yesterday making some. Looked great in the pattern, but didn't fit! Too long in the sole, too tight at the ankle. I may be able to salvage them with a few adjustments because they do look good in her picture. They are called Cozy Toes Slippers by Pearl Louise Krush and were a free download.
Those that tagged them "booties" are at the link
Martha Stewart has a basic pattern, and you with your creativity can made wonders.
Here's the one I use.
Thanks for this. I made the slipper socks this afternoon. I used camo fleece and added 3 inches to the top of the
front and back pieces. I also used the non slip material on the bottom. I wear sizes 91/2-10 and they fit fine. Now to
see if they will stay on at night. Too hot tonight here to
wear them. olds/Maureen
Let me see what I can find
I remember noah making some, maybe ones you are looking for....
