How do I digitize a capital letter H with little dots? My daughter is getting married, and the only thing fancy about the wedding will be embroidered napkins. Anybody know how to make a chain of dots all in a row? I'd like to digitize it myself. She is thinking something like this, but her grandfather is going to do the calligraphy.

I don't know what software you use, but in Embird it is dead easy, you just digitize a line and choose one of their candle wick stitches. The default setting is typically width 3 mm, length 6 mm, which means a nice dot with a 3mm diameter and 3 mm distance between the dots. I prefer no more than 1 mm in between.
This afternoon 6D Design Creator (the digitising module) and I were at loggerheads - but it should be easy to do there as well. And I think that will apply to most sw programs on the market. Just play with your settings/parameters to get the result you like best.

http://aufildemescreations.over-b... has offered all the alpha letters in candlewick--for free. You have to D/L individually, and look 'backwards' at her site. Beautiful work.

Candlewick is basically "dots"...you should have a candlewick stitch option in your digitizing software...you should be able to convert a single run line to a candlewick line very easily...and you should be able to adjust how far apart and how big you want the candlewick "dots"...
