Wow! I'm impressed! Great family project! But I know you did most of the work!!
Welllll yeah they did most of the blocks I added a few more to make it a proper shape, but if I had known I was going to get so many more grands I would have left some blank to be finished later.. thank you
Great idea and beautiful memory of all family mebers.

Marian, you have done a wonderful job of this quilt. I have only seen one other done similar. It was for a 50th anniversary for the girls parents. She appliqued each hand print drawing, with the name of the child, grands, etc. She stripped it too but not like this one. I love the stripping you did. It makes it so much more colorful. I just love it!-Toogie
Thank you Toogie, but I have a lovely couple who live in Portland Australia just over our blue mountains who do much of my quilting on those extra special quilts. Smaller quilts we can manage between my daughter and I.. I am still relearning
A wonderful piece of art. Now #1 ques. Who will inherit it. with my 4 girls that's what I hear a lot. LOL You have definitely created a Masterpiece/Lillian
I haven't thought about that maybe the youngest seeing my eldest gd laid claim to my machines when she was 3 I'm now teaching her to sew..
This is truly a special heirloom. Treasure it and use for many years to come
Dear Marian,
What a wonderful way of watching them grow. The years seem to fly by so fast these days and it's such a comfort to have a wonderful quilt to wrap yourself in to remind you of them all. Love it. Love Chris
It's very special seeing I haven't got to see 3 of them for almost 4yrs now, this just reminds me of the fun times we had while they were small
A great memory quilt. For 18 years I traced my son's hand prints (yes, they thought I were crazy asking when they hit the teen years) but, I got them all and traced them onto the back of my quilt and hand embroidered each one along with their initials and age. One of my prized possessions and yes, I snuggle in it regularly - wrapped in love! You have created a beautiful quilt.
Brilliant! I love the idea and the finished quilt.
