I am not sure if this is allowed,if not delete please admins or tell me to, and I will.I have this beautiful design which was a freebie from Truembroidery,it has a line stitch around the edge,I think its a basting stitch which means it cant fit into my hoop (8.85 x 225),is it possible some one could remove the basting for me? I don't have any software so can't do it myself.I use vip.

I looked at the design and it is not just the basting stitch that usual is a different color. The outline continues into the green of the leaves.

I use SewWhat Pro all the time and love it. If you downloaded the trial version of the program, I can help you with the steps.
I have sent you a Private Message, so look on top and find--- Inbox.
There will be a red 1 beside it, just click on it and it will open it up.

Sewwhatpro has a wonderful support system. They may have a tutorial on how to remove stitches on YouTube. It would be worth a search there.

You might be able to delete the first colour, that's the basting stitches. Try right click on the colour in the colour box or - that usually lets you choose remove/delete/cut the object (digitising speak for the separate elements of a design).. .

You got lots of good advise. Hope you were able to skip the basting stitch. Kay

I'm with Irene, I'd just skip that first step if possible on your machine. Of course I agree with all the moderators too because it is illegal to ask someone else to remove it. Good luck with it all. Love Chris

can you just skip the basting stitch? If it's the 1st thing to stitch out just got to the 2nd step or whatever step starts the rose embroidery design?

Yes, this would work for me. I do editing sometimes on the machine by selecting the design and not connecting the hoop until I get the design how I want. For instance, if my design must have the 5x7 hoop, but I want to skip a step and use a 4x4---then I do the advance to the nest thread and hit my 'size' down button...then connect my hoop.
I also use "My Editor" (free) to remove parts of a design that I don't want to stitch out. Another option for you.

download sewwhatpro and you can do it yourself no problem and you get to have a thirty day free trial too.
You can even re size the design to fit into the hoop with the baste stitch still on it

You are right it is only a basting line. As the others said it is illegal to have someone else remove that line for you.
After removing the basting line the design measures 133x194 mm or 5.22x7.62". If that fits your hoop you could try and download Wilcom Truesizer (it's free) and remove the basting stitches yourself. The program comes in handy for resizing and reformatting as well.

The comment from pacmp is correct, just sending the design to another would violate copyright. Those that know the rules will not edit another persons design without permission. There are many different options -- the best one is to ask the one that created the design. Many digitizers would rather you not edit their work but prefer you ask them if changes are needed.
If they allow their designs to be edited by users, then there are many software trials out there that would work for this.

I'm sure a Mod will let you know for sure but just the process of sending the design to someone to remove the basting stitch would be in violation. Have you tried contacting truembroidery and asking them to remove the basting stitch? Just an idea, Maybe someone will know of a free or trial program so you can do it yourself otherwise. I agree it is a beautiful design and have downloaded it also and looking forward to using it. Good Luck.
