Looks great, together with the quilt this is a special memory.
I am so anxious to see your finished quilt! You have made everything just extra special. I can just feel the love you've sewn into the whole project, as I am sure she will too.-Toogie
It is going to be such a big hit for her! Very pretty work!!!! I love it!
If the bag and the labels are anything to go by the quilt will look amazing..
This has sure been a labour of pure love and I know Karlie will treasure it.
hugs n love, Meg
Thanks Meg. I couldn't have done it without your help and a couple of other dear friends. I am so anxious to see it all quilted and to put the border on it and then to see Karlie's reaction when she sees it.
You have done so much to help me with all my crazy idea's and to make them happen. Thank you for being my helper.
Hugs Jerri.
PS Had a little power outage as I was typing this to you...
You are most welcome dear friend.
You've been a bit quiet lately, guess you've been busy with this huge project. :-) hugs n love, Meg
Jerri, I will be so anxious to see the work of art when it is finished. I can't even imagine how excited your granddaughter will be. She will certainly cherish this for her entire life. I was thinking it was about time that you should be getting it back from the quilter. How exciting!!
Hi my quilting buddy. She was to start quilting it on the 14, but got behind. She promised me it would be done this week as my friend is coming in to help me with the binding. I will post a picture when its all done. It ended up being 60"x104". I learnt a lot, thanks to you, so won't make the next one so big. I probably won't get down to see them until your Thanksgiving.
Hugs Jerri
This is so well done Jerri! I am excited to find out her reaction to this beautiful gift.
Thanks Rescuer: I can't wait for her to see it also. May not be until your Thanksgiving, but it will give me time to add the binding and labels. Hugs Me.
Wow! Jerri, this looks awesome and I love the labels. What does LYBOAB stand for? Love you something....... Karlie will treasure it always. Love Chris
Thanks Chris. LYBOAB is something my Mom always signed her cards with so I am carrying it on. It means
Love You Bigger of a Bunching???? Never thought to ask why Bunching and now its too late...Hugs Jerri
We used to say "love you bunches" so this is probably meaning more than bunches.
I always thought it meant bunches of flowers ??????
I love this and you are a most excellent Grandmother. I am sure this will be a most exciting visit. I feel it just reading about it. You are a inspiration that is for sure.
Thank you. I get so many wonderful idea's from the members here, I thought I would share one of my own, for those that make quilts for family members.
It is so special to get a quilt made by a loved one. Now you have carried a step further. It can't get more special than having it's own bag to protect it on.
Thank you Karen, she is the first of my 3 Grandchildren to get a quilt like this. I learnt a lot doing it as I had made up the design of the quilt myself. Hopefully will be posting a picture of the quilt itself soon.
Boy you put your heart into this Quilt. What an awesome job be proud of yourself .Wish i could hug you:):)Carolyn
That's what we Grandma's do right? I just wish I hadn't made the quilt so large, but its a learning project. I can feel your hugs..Jerri
I love it....all of it. What a treasure.
Thank you Jerrilyn. I just thought it might inspire others to make something like it for their quilts, if they are going to be stored as a keepsake. I get so many wonderful idea's from the members here, I like to give a little something back. Hugs Jerr
ah it is so nice that you could add your picture's to it too! I love it & she will be just thrilled! ~hugs~
Thanks Loralye. I am getting anxious to give it to her, but may not be until their Thanksgiving in Nov. as they now live in Everett, Wa. Its been a while since I went down for a visit as they did a lot of Reno's on the main floor of their house. Still a couple of things yet to be done, so will go when its all finished. I miss them so much as we always lived within a few mins of each other...
